Just another Rah-Rah, Wait Till Next Year story. The author says Jr will win a championship in the next 6 year; wonder if she's taking bets on that?

Jr is past his sub-par driving prime. If he wins a championship in the next 5 years it wouldn't be a fluke, it will be a fixer!

No he wont. He will be LUCKY to win another race or two. Maybe make another chase or two. He WONT start finishing top 5 every week, winning consistantly, and be in the battle for a championship. Those days are long gone. Jr has lost points to the leader in every race thus far.

Junior league can't compete with the competition that is racing in cup today. Nascar wil do everything n their power to get him a championship or even a win, but the cup drivers aren't going to roll over like the drivers did in the nationwide race on 7/2/10 when they had to let him win with the the # 3 wrangler car, and they called it a tribute to his father.

You are right, but the biggest fraud in the history of motoesports was Jr's win in the 2001 Pepsi 400 at Daytona.

I dont understand why gooooooonior isn't more competitive, nascar throws a caution for him for anything he needs, gives him breaks out the wazzzooooo, and he still FAILS.

Here's the answer, they aren't throwing it for him. They throw it for other driver that The Evils of NASCAR actually favor. Earnhardt or not, The Evils of NASCAR won't help a good guy, period!...

Jr is washed up. There are too many younger, faster, more aggressive drivers on the circuit to continue discussing this also-ran. Jr peaked in 2003-04. That was his whole career in those two seasons. If you blinked, you missed it. End of discussion.

That was before he threw a temper tantrum and quit.

Explain how he went into the pits at Dover on lap 19 to get the sway bar fixed and, after NASCAR held the caution long enough for Junior to finish his repair, they restart the race on lap 23 but Junior has only gone ONE lap down after being in the pits for repair while the field made four laps? Then, of course, the next lucky dog Junior gets that lap back...imagine that.

I'm not even saying that he's a bad driver, it does take some skill to race those cars every week. I am saying that he isn't championship material and never really has been.

I have never seen a caution for a few drops of rain on a windshield as I did last weekend. Mandatory caution coming out at lap forty worked out perfectly for junior league.

Who cares if he is championship material, the legons of Dale Jr fans love Dale Jr for the person, I must say Dale Jr is an above avarage driver. Win or lose the Dale Jr nation love Dale Jr. The bashers of Dale Jr just need to get it, Dale Jr will always be the most popular driver just because he is Dale Jr.

Jr is a below average driver on an above average race team with an above average race car. Put any driver in that car and they'll do better then Jr.
