That's what sucks about the chase...When a driver has a dominating season, now they just take it away from him and make it anybody's game. This is why Richard Petty will ALWAYS be the King...He won ALL his championships fair and square...JJ was given most of his.

That's what happens when you WIN, people. Drivers know the deal when the Chase starts. Whoever wins the most races (dominate driver) gets first dibs when the Chase starts. The way it should be. JJ's been the most dominate driver this year so far with the 3 wins and higher standing seeding. Petty was the King of his Era, no doubt, but Jimmie is the King of his Era hands down.

I will disagree with you on Richard Petty. I guess your not old enough to remember everthing about his racing. Hell he even run over sized engines. Then never checked them out back then thats how he won so much.He also promised his mama he would not have beer sponsors on his car. He was not letting his drivers in the Bud shoot out's. Well mama passed away and ole Richard went wild and broke his promise to his deceased mama. I lost all respect for him at that time.....

Maybe the NFL will change their point system. 2 teams still play 4 quarters and after the 3rd quarter reset the points and the team who scores the most points in the 4th quarter wins the game.

They don't reset the points in the middle of the race! They reset at the beginning of the play offs just like the NFL, NBA, MLB, etc... The top teams are on equal standings and all have a chance at the golden ring.

Ever since Sr killed himself, NASCAR has been screwing with the rules, the cars, the scoring, and the championship points system, all in a grand attempt to get the mediocre JR to the championship stage. It's JR's just deserts if the system they created just to get JR a championship is what prevents him from getting the trophy.
By the way, Jr is not the dominating driver this season, he has just managed to avoid problems enough to stay high in the points. The dominant drivers are those with the most wins, after all, this is racing and the whole point of racing is to win. When the chase starts the dominant drivers (with the most wins) get a better starting position, as it should be.

Changed your screename again huh, Id be ashamed if I was you too. To think that Jr is not racing for the win is just silly. Open your eyes who ever you are this week. Jr is first in points and his driving skills helped to get him there. It takes skill to do what YOU say hes doing, staying out of trouble to stay high in the points. Pretty good strategy and a working strategy wouldnt you say???? You have to be running at the end of the race to challenge for the win and score those points. And before you pipe in about points, points is what wins the championship. Understand????

You are correct, NASCAR is all about Jr, and the boneheads wonder why the seats are empty.
