walau sudah usia 1990 an lagi....tolonglah prihatin suara rakyat...ni.

it's a good news if the government really is serious about it. No doubt that sabah and sarawak are rich in natural resources including hydrocarbon and marine resources. It's suffice to say that these two states sit on rich hydrocarbon ring which encompasses the whole borneo island an the water surrounds it. All costal states and china who share the south china sea and celebes sea are claiming these areas as theirs, including malaysia, for instant the spratly's islands. Thus, future conflicts between these coastal states may arise resulting from overlapped claims by each state over who's who the rightful owner of this area. but more often than not, sabah and sarawak are the running dogs for BN to gain more seats in the general election. How long will sabah and sarawak be servile followers to UMNO? I guess sabahans and sarawakians are not stupid to know this old trick anymore...

If listed, it is too much that the government should do for development in both of the states. but I believe that the government is aware what the people need. hopefully, the statement by Tan Sri will be able to convince people that government can bring the development to Sabah/Sarawak as promised.

To be honest sir? There a some areas that are under-developed..Focus on the rural area to another. They needed more basic necessities for their daily usage..

Sabah is rich in mineral resources and some areas, potential for occurrence of mineral deposits, have been identified but the present state government has been reluctant to issue exploration/mining licences to mining companies. I suspect something wrong is going on.

I wonder what the rationale is behind that. Mining of economic mineral deposits can generate $$$$ to the sate and provide jobs.

Why is development always refer to building rooads bridges drains airports, contract, projects etc etc etc. Does anyone realize about whats happening to our social development, our human development? Everytime the gov talks about pembangunan, then this and that project comes into the picture. the worse, the people buys it. These are all tax payers money. Just spend and we'll get the roads. What happen to our mental development? education? or SECURITY? Seems like the gov is one big construction company.

More emphasy should be given to human resourse development or pembangunan insan. I admire Pak Lah for this. I think Sabah and Sarawak need more technical/vocational schools

It is time for the Federal Government to focus their resources & effort to develop Sabah & Sarawak in all field...peninsular has all the development u can possibility imagine, Sabah & Sarawak was way behind...the state government alone cannot do it without the help from Federal...Federal should also play their part effectively, suitable with the motto "People first, performance now"

It is not the problem of Federal. but the State leaders themselves. the project money is going into their own pockets.
Look at Sarawak for example. All the federal and states money is going into his pocket. the people of Sarawak and Sabah need to change to opposition for a while and we can see what promises the opposition can do.
it has been 48 years now, and the basic infrastructures such as roads and electricities are not widely coveraged yet.
When Kuching, Sibu, and Bintulu vote for DAP, there is much development in that area.
It is either Federal has the ball to change Taib/Musa Aman admistration..
or the rakyat need to change themselves.
:)

If you think development in Kuching, Sibu and Bintulu is due to DAP, try let DAP win in a rural area Long Pasia and see what they can do. I think the first thing they would do is to finish all the timbers.
