Good. How does that contribute to the overall
stability in your country? More that 40 journalists killed last year alone. Or, more than 700 churches attacks in the last decade. Has the voices of certain indigenous people in some islands who have been an outcast in their own country been heard and respond upon? The ever expanding terrorisms connection. etc, etc...
Maybe you could enlighten us a bit on causes of the frequent tensions and clashes in Indonesia. Why a more democratic country is more chaotic...? Oh, my previous question is still unanswered, so I didn't expect much for this one.
Democracy doesn't give guarantee to change all things to better in overnight.
While there might be several downside, democracy gives huge benefit for society. Our democracy still far from ideal,-in some parts there are some clashes- but still a lot better compared to neighbouring countries such as malaysia. Here in Indo, people can freely voice their concern if they feel something is wrong, Some people might use unusual way to channel their aspiration, but that is part of the learning process. Learning something is so much better than not learning at all. stiil most malaysian prefer to live their life in the bubbles and refuse to learn.

Yes, maybe the level of freedom of expression in Indonesia is something to be envied by Malaysians. Wondering how come Papua New Guinea is at 47th place as compared to Indonesia 117th place...:D

See the ranking here...

Most of the time, we learn from our neighbours. And frankly, our neighbours are not doing that good either. In many aspects they are even worse. This bubbles though thin and vulnerable has so far protect us from unnecessary bloodsheds and allow us to live in peace and harmony. We will take small step at a time for changes so that we don't feel it when it burst.

What i hate about Malaysia :

1. State controlled media - publishing only what the government wants us to know. Look at our newspapers controlled by political parties, printing permits controlled by government. Only "Barisan National" political party can use the media. Other politic parties cannot.

2. Racial discrimination - the long suffering Chinese & Indians. Quotas imposed in universities, scholarships, public sector employment, just to name but a few.

3. Reckless Malaysian drivers. They're speed racers like Initial D (esp the motocyclists).

4. Oil price, public tol and other taxes are way too high. Barisan national promises Malaysians to have lower cost of living. Yet when they have been elected, cost goes higher.

5. Police bribing with gangsters. Even though you read in the newspapers that police has captured gangsters and confiscate, yet they accept bribes and release them in next day.

6. Unfriendly taxi drivers. They never want to send you to your destination.

7. Extreme Poverty

8. And there's's so much more

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Taurus

Get involved in financial transactions at your peril under today's Lunar Eclipse, because certain people will use them as a stick to beat you with. For instance, if you ask someone to lend you money they'll either make you feel guilty about it or dredge up all sorts of past instances when their trust was betrayed. You would also be well advised to avoid any show of possessiveness or jealousy, even if you feel it, unless you truly don't care about the disastrous outcome.
