Judged: 2 2 2 The study, a copy of which was provided to FoxNews.com ,“is the first and most detailed look at the costs of illegal immigration ever done,” says Bob Dane, director of communications at FAIR, a conservative organization that seeks to end almost all immigration to the U.S. FAIR's opponents in the bitter immigration debate describe the organization as "extremist," though it is regularly called upon to testify before Congress. |

I had quite a bit of dental work done in TJ MX. It was a large practice with a small satalite office at the boarder. I had insurance and for $50 admin fee they billed my insurance company at US rates after I gave them cash. I received $1300 over my cost.
Now I have mixed emotions about the quality of work. With over 20 cosmetic fillings done I have about half of them left. I lost 2 teeth since then that should have had root canals. The one root canal I had done was great. The oral surgeon was an outside contractor. I wish I can find him again to do some dental implants. The bonding is begining to wear on the front teeth after 7 years. They were real liberal the the prescription pad so I had some fun after the appointments in the zona norte ;) |

Yeah they won't charge you anything but when you come back from sedation you might be missing a kidney or two...

Truth.. buyer beware... speaking as someone who lives in Mexico.
However, once you find a decent dentist.... and there are alot of them. It is crazy cheap compared to Canada where I came from. Even a teeth cleaning in Canada runs 300 bucks and the dentist doesn't spend 10 minutes with you. Here... it's 20 bucks.. same service. I've had cavities filled.. had older lead fillings removed and replaced with porcelain. All at probably 50 bucks an hour with the dentist. You can't beat it. I'm assuming it's because insurance rates are lower here.... or the dentists here don't have the perception they can make 400 grand a year working 35 hours a week and 5 weeks of vacation. |

By the time you would pay for the trip there, it would be the same if you live on the east coast of the United States.

Judged: 3 1 why do you feel the need to call us names like dirty mexicans? I am an American board certified dentist with 2 offices in the San Diego area and 1 in Tijuana B.C Mexico, where I reside. It's true you do get what you pay for. But let me tell you this, The Well known Dental Company Where I did my internship in the USA was a very dirty place and the emplyees are very rude and un educated. To cut down on money the company would hire from within the office and we had 2 men who came from Canada and started out as janitorsa and 3 months later they were assisting the dentist with NO FORMAL TRAINING! The auto claving was almost never done at this place putting our patients in serious risks. Did anyone care? NO! My advise to you is to visit The real Tijuana and not just the bars most ghetto tourist go to. Thats not Tijuana. We are very cultural and educated. And believe me, in T.J you will not find a janitor cleaning your teeth. Grow up and stop the name calling. And educate yourself before trying to insult other people and countries. Oh yeah, and if we are so "dirty" then why do you come to our country to enjoy our beautiful beaches, 5 star resorts and great food? |

Judged: 2 1 You know what? educate yourself before talking about other countries. Tijuana Mexico has a lot of culture. We hold many important events, we are educated, many first class hotels and spas/resorts. Most of you who cross the border just see the party srtip and dont take time to really enjoy Mexico and its people. And for your information. It is not cheap to live in Mexico. I have a $1700.00 dollar mortgage to pay every month, plus up keep of the home, food and clothing, car payment and tuition for my 2 kids. I advise you to take the time to visit more than just the sleezy bars which were made that way by the tourist an go take a walk to a local park, fine dining, enjoy a piano bar, or a relaxing massage at one of the 5 star resorts Tijuana has to offer. I recommend to go catch a movie (where they are shown in either in english or spanish). Now thats a movie theater. They have a sushi bar , sitting area to enjoy a beverage with or without alcohol before your movie, leather love seats, and guesss what? if you need a refill on anything, push a button and some one will bring you what ever you need. Plus they charge less then the shit hole movie theater we sometimes go to in the US. I recommened the theaters that are right next door to the very nice and elegant casino. I invite you to go enjoy our beatiful Mexico. |
