I adore and respect Ashaji a lot but she shouldn't have reacted that way. When Himeshji said that panchamda and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khandi sang nasal too then he did not had any ill feeling may be whatever Himeshji says today people have the tendency of exagerating too much.

RD Burman never sang nasally. He sang a few songs in the seventies in a deliberately hoarse, gurgling voice; these songs were 70s' item songs in a manner of speaking. In the eighties RD sang a few songs in his original voice, which had astonishing range and melody. Perhaps Himesh had RD's father, the legendary SD Burman in his mind when he said that Burman sang nasally. SD Burman did have a nasal tone to his singing, but he was very melodious.

Ashaji's anger is but natural but that is what Himeshji felt and everybody has the right to express whatever they feel.

Whatever one may say about the Himesh Asha episode, the new generation singer had his way & the last laugh. By comparing himself with her illustrous husband, he defintely hurt her sentiments & the sentiments of all Panchamda fans. But instead of getting slapped as Asha threatened him publicly, he made the legendary singer throw the towel by making her sing with him a Panchamda number in a very sensual flavour in his album " Aap ka suroor". A 'nahin nahin kabhi nahin' to a ' kyon satate ho,hoga hoga hoga'. A duel ending in a duet.
