I wish I'd been there with you for the winter and summer 70 Las Vegas season, but also in sam Diego. Please tell me which of the concerts you attended blew your mind the most, aside from the personal contacts you may have had with him.
Sorry to be slow in reply, Jim. I have some personal family issues going on here...

70 and 71 will always be my favorites in seeing Elvis perform live. He was at his absolute peek physically and seemed thrilled to be performing live again. I wish I could have seen the opening in summer of 69 in Vegas!

Of the concert road shows San Diego 70 is my favorite. I LOVED the excitement of the big crowd and all those flashes going off when he walked his special walk onto the stage...and I think the first of anything always blows your mind. LOL :) Elvis was looking so hot in 70! I took my little sister to that show and she has since passed. It was great to be able to share the happiness and excitement of an ELVIS concert with someone I loved.

By the 76 San Diego show Elvis didn't seem to enjoy himself quite as much and who could blame him. His life wasn't going the best and he was worn out physically. Still, a beautiful soul, performance, and VOICE. I did enjoy it... but nothing really beats the early years for me as I loved it when Elvis seemed really HAPPY! His smile and happiness was always contagious.

Jim Just heard the song on The million dallor quartet cd yesterday I thought was really cool. It was Elvis singing a song that he said at the biggining that Pat Boone had Written it for him. Did he ever record it beyond the quartet cd?

I agree with all your vocal favourites, especially the alternate for "I beg of you". I can't figure out why the other was chosen, since this one (the alternate), rocks much harder. Of course, the one they chose was recorded much earlier, so that's maybe the reason..

I know when I origanally bought the 50s masters box set and heard the Alt version I was Like wow that one rocked compared to the original I didnt understand why that one was picked either

Just Like Why did they pick the version of Feels so right. The one thats on the Platinum a life in music box set(alternate take) was better.

Question 4 ya Im just curious on this one (this is for tcb girl too)Wich take of the of the song anything thats part of you did you like the best?
