Post offices join endangered list

Hundreds of historic U.S. post offices nationwide face uncertain futures as the U.S. Postal Service downsizes, so preservationists on Wednesday added these American institutions to the list of the country's most endangered historic places.

Yeah, nowadays economics is really driving these issues.
Guess we need to make certain we can live with a much smaller (infrastructurally) or non existent USPS before we start lopping inches off the tail of the dog.

My own opinion is that we have to maintain a viable postal service, for about a hundred reasons which I won't bore the shit out of you here...
