Nostalgia for 'Racer' more than kid stuff

Like so many kids who came of age in the 1970s, I spent my formative years - all of them - perched before a TV set.

I totally agree with your column 100%. The only thing missing back then were all the toy tie ins. I wanted a toy mach five to imagine with so badly back then. I remember bugging my Mom for a toy from the show to no avail. Well I went into Toys are Us the other day and I bet you can just about guess what I now own! Kids these days really dont know how good they have it. As the old saying gos youth is wasted on the wrong people.
