She was a huge entertainer and did it with class and humor that made all of us laugh and leave the theatre feeling great and gave us all something to look up to. And her voice was clear and amazingly good to listen to.S

I think the AFI would give her the award even if she will not attend. Likewise the Oscars. Comedy, drama ("Midnight Lace"), singing, and her sheer beauty, and persona make her truly one of a kind. Can't say enough about her. She certainly enhanced my life and countless others.
