First-ever Rock Con rolls into New Jersey this weekend

Full story: USA Today

Established conventions like Comic-Con and country's CMA Music Festival draw a national audience to rub elbows with idols and kindred spirits, but rock 'n' roll devotees usually have to settle for narrowly focused local events.

I was at Rock Con at the Meadowlands Sheridan on friday night it was great seeing all the rock legends at this gathering. I had a chance to see my Cousin Ron Dante who was responsible for the success of The Archies, Pat Benatar, Cher, and Barry Manilow to name a few. I also had a chance to meet the Brooklyn Bridge, Andy Kim, Little Anthony and the Imperials, and many others. It Was the best night every to meet all these people thanks to the people who put this together if Rock Con is in town in NJ next year please count me in. thanks again. ..................Nicky Sticks from WITNESS

A big thumbs down for Rock-Con. A long list of nobody's. A big rip off. No Johnny Winters Very few real stars the rest are in the D class of Stars.

Rock Stars???
Most of the hasbeens that bothered to show up were never really anybodys anyway, and they definitely were not Rock Stars.
Most were just there to try and scam people out of bucks for bad products.
Hilarious that they claim people who were just sidemen in a band or in it for a couple months (Ian Mitchell from the Bay City Rollers) as "Rock Stars".
Really sad.

Yeah, I heard that they all got pissed if you didn't buy their CD of recut songs which most never sang lead on to begin with. Wireimage has photos of the sham, the gals looked great, the guys not. Ian Mitchell was less than a year and has been milking it for decades. Tommy James/Gene Cornish/Al Jardine/Little Anthony/Mary Weiss/Billy Hensche/Smithereens were class acts...lots were brokesters.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Gemini

A little give and take goes a long way, so try to be flexible and malleable when dealing with others. It will also pay to ask people what they think rather than to make sweeping assumptions on their behalf, because you could be in for a surprise. A child may have some interesting information for you, or they could make a statement that really sets you thinking.
