Otherwise, I think it is a great song and great to yell at totally inappropriate times at lame concerts, but definitely not at good shows. I did yell it once at college when Syro Gyra was playing and the saxophonist turned and yelled "what?" That was before it was heard much outside of Chicago. It was obviously the bands first "Freebird" moment. I soon graduated to a lesser used but no unheard of request which the author of this article completely missed, "Stonehenge". To this day my keys hang on a ZZ Top key chain that I bought at the show during the Recycler tour back in '92 or so. I have ALWAYS been a ZZ Top fan... used to have a cat named ZZ but he peggered a couple years ago. Stonehange...... you probably mean something different but it's one of the BEST Ten Years After albums they made! There is a song on there called Speed Kills that's a MUST for blues fans.

yes hope your are up to par and things go your way like he said they do great things w/medicine these day's. prayers do work,anyone watching the all-star game ,old obama threw out a decent first pitch,better than some other presidents have in the past.

If any band deserves to be "Freebirded" It'd have to be Spyro Gyro. Well done! You deserve a statue in the park or something.

my daughters and grand kids will eventually go see them but they wait till it dies down an catch it at the danbury cinema's they have the 1.00-2.00 daily specials like a month after it's out.

Talk about "Free Bird" I ran across a very awesome song and video that is sung by "TAMMY VAN ZANT" Ronnie Van Zants Daughter,the title of the song is "FREE BIRD CHILD" it can be seen on you-tube or at www.FREEBIRD CHILD.COM .

the new cd went on sale sept.29th best but,walmart it's everyhwere and if your lucky look for the special edition it has the 3 bonus studio songs and 3 live song s from the louisville show the one god & guns cd don't have that so make sure to find the cd with to disc's not just one.
