An absent but televised Amy Winehouse may be the key Grammy moment

Just shows how stupid this government has become or angry about it's defeat on the war on drugs. They didn't ban Roger Waters from the US in the 70's. Willie Nelson blew a fatty at the White House with no reprise. While Amy is no role model for the younger generation she still shouldn't be banned from attending the event over "hearsay". The fact of matter is she has not been arrested for possession and there is not factual evidence that she uses drugs. US government I think you suck and have double standards.

Prediction: Amy Winehouse will be the next deal pop star.

Amy Winehouse is overrated. If it weren't for her sad personal life and her drug addiction, nobody would pay any attention to her.

The music industry is in dire need of real musical talent. After Carrie Underwood's opening performance the show took a nose dive. I couldn't stand seeing or hearing the misfit garbage that was presented. There were better things on TV.

This is by far the worst grammy show I have ever witnessed. There's enough good music out there that they could have had more acts perform. Did I need 3 songs by Tina Turner? 2 from Alicia Keys? 2 from Kanye? 2 from the Beatles? Aretha screaming for 10 minutes? Kid Rock was fun, Feist actually showed talent without no big production. Even the country guy showed us how to play a guitar. They held out Winehouse to the end just so we'd watch to see if she was hammered. If you missed the show, I just summed it up for you, you didn't miss much.

I want to know how the Hell Rihanna won anything? Her performance last night was absolutely awful and it's no better on the radio. Did she win because Jay Z was involved in the song? I think he is totally over rated, just do not get the attraction and for the life of me don't see the talent.
Beyonce's time has come and gone she's boring and over rated shaking your big fat booty and thighs is not talent. Tina Turner blew her right out of the water last night and she's 3 times her age! Aretha Franklin needs to stop screaming at us and should go get a good bra to keep those babies under control.

that's not saying much. music is dead. it's funny how people complain about the "aged rockers" going out on tour. but you know something? their songs are excellent, they are so talented, no matter what instrument is in their hands. the young generation of musicians today wouldn't know what to do with an instrument. i say more power to those aged rockers. I can't wait to go see tom petty in june and eric clapton/steve winwood in 2 weeks. they completely blow all of these people out of the water. although, i do have to give props to josh groban and andrea bocelli... beautiful performance of the prayer...
