Wasn't that a great show or what?! This is my 4th time seeing the band live. Since it was held indoors this time there wasn't room for all the usual props like laser beams, giant bunny and/or dragon balloons and such but there were pyrotechnics, video screens, pillars of fire, etc. and the MUSIC. I could go on and on and on here but here's some unique "inside" pointers that I noticed and I wonder if anyone else did too:
1. right at the tier above me sat three guys in a row wearing T-shirts with messages written in the "got milk?" font. They said, "got geddy?","got lifeson?" and "got peart?" . Geddit?
2. during "The Spirit Of Radio" the band was playing the usual reggae interlude at the parts where the lyrics go "and the words of the prophets..." (a play on a Simon and Garfunkle hit) and "echoes with the sounds..." and get this - the lights shining down were red, yellow and green - colors often associated with reggae music and culture! Who said Canucks don't have a sense of humor?
3. the last song performed was "2112", not the entire epic opus but still a little more than I expected. We're in 2012 now and the year 2112 is a century away. A coincidence or what?
If anybody else was there let me know what you think of all this.
