Why would a reporter include such a statement with out giving a reason? Yellow journalism?

All qualified AZ residents over the age of 18 can be legally licensed to carry a weapon. They need to for defense in AZ. There's all kinds of foreign criminals sneaking over their border who wouldn't think twice about killing a US citizen.

There's a sandwich shop in the Phoenix downtown area I went into a couple of years ago. The employees behind the counter were packing heat on their hips. I would too if I worked there, as well as lived there.
