I will have to take opiate medication until my non contagious disease kills me and hospice comes in and it will need to be increased in a very strong way the last few months of my life. Why should people with illnesses that will result in death go without treatment because of addicts? Why should dealers make money while America goes broke treating addicts for free? Why should people get welfare if they make choice to use drugs? Why did the war on drugs fail and why are prisons overcrowded and why more violence over drug deals gone bad than people high committing violence? Most violence of drug addicts is to get more money to pay 20 a pill when the pills cost that for 120 of them without the 30% tax we are going to add for our people.
What about all the new jobs created to deal with these people and track them paid for by the addicts? What about the national debt decreasing because of the new program and what about inner Cities being free so people can get job training or leave the house to attend Church for the first time in 20 years?
I advise everyone here to look up the Portugal Plan as well as how Moses was high on drugs. Hallucinogenics were widely used in bible days to have what they thought was spiritual experiences seeing music and hearing colors. The burning bush was real because Moses was on drugs when he thought he saw that.
Drug use will never stop in humans and it always existed so admit that fact first so we can change and move forward with something new that will work within five years and crime goes down in 72 hours.
The next generation will have a lower drug rate than any before it just like in Portugal too and that is what we need for our future. Those on drugs now are not likely to every stop. Spontaneous recovery happens and if in AA they get the credit but 12 step programs have 99% failure rate which is fact on the Net. I did college thesis on that very fact and used harm reduction in its place which works better but the Portugal plan is the best so far on earth.
Even I have to take a drug test to get my meds! If damn addicts were getting drugs at government clinics those of us who actually need them for medical reasons wouldn't need to be tested all the time and spend 250 bucks on a stupid test. Cancer patients on pain meds must be drug tested in most States now. That is insanity!
In my youth, I never once did drugs but I did go to clubs and drink for about two years on weekends like most other College kids did. I was never in trouble, was a good person and now have terminal illness and have to struggle financially and with drug testing because of addicts. It is not fair really. My illness is in the hands of God and I don't ask why me but I do get angry about the drug thing and people looking at me odd when pharmacists talks to me about the name of my meds while people look at me as an addict I am not.
I do not get high off my meds and can only tolerate the pain with them. They have side effects and I have to deal with that and memory loss and my writing is not as good mostly because of decline in health from illness.

I trust God will take me to Heaven when my time comes but that is my personal faith I do not push on others as a Christian who accepts all people.
