A new program that allows individuals to anonymously text crime tips to Park Ridge and Des Plaines police resulted in the arrest of 43 teenagers and young adults attending a party where underage drinking had allegedly taken place.

Ah, the wonderful nanny state. While cops should be investigating murders and robberies and break-ins and rapes, they bust party-goers for drinking. Stupid laws (drinking, prostitution, pot) result in a stupid waste of taxpayer money and LESS SAFE communities.

Thank goodness I live in Chicago where police have more important things to do than break up keggers. Suburban cops have to "create" crimes in order to solve them and justify their jobs.
