It is nice that Fantasia will be starring in a Broadway show, but I do not think that Celie is a good part for her. She needs to be acting in a more sexy role....

i saw fantasia's second performance in the color purple at wednesday's matinee on apr. 11th and i was completely blown away. i've seen many broadway shows but never left a theater weak in the knees. that is what fantasia did to me and the rest of the audience. her vocals were amazing and her acting perfect.

I am an older adult and I must say that Fantasia was wonderful. I saw The Color Purple with La Chanze and Fantasia makes her look like an Outcast. I would highly recommend anyone and everyone to see Fantasia in this show, she is amazing.

Well... I must admit that Fantasia has a beautiful voice and she has a sexy look, but in response to the OP saying that she shouldn't play an ugly role... I think that Fantasia is ugly... and she would fit the part. Fantasia head is small on the top, she has huge cheeks, and she wears the wrong hair styles for that look.
