Full story: cbs2.com

"It really is a remarkable thing to be nominated for an Oscar," actress Kate Winslet said. "It's unbelievable. I mean, these are childhood dreams." Winslet is no stranger to the red carpet. I hope this year is Kate Winslet's year. She's a deserving and accomplished actress.

Ladies and Gentlemen, let me give you my forecast of the Oscars? Hugh Jackman will put the crowd to bed early with his deadpan delivery. Everybody will wish they had "Wolverine's Claws" to scratch out their eyes and ears after this one. Who takes the prizes? Not much to choose from in this crop o crap. We've got and "Old Guy", "Crook", "A Homosexual Crook," "A German Film," and one from "India." I'm being nice here. Is it a shocker that Hollywood goes for Germany? Best Picture: The Reader. Director: Opie for Andy Griffith. Actor: Surprise-Frank Langella for the Crook Nixon. Great Nixon bye the way. Actress: I doubt Streep will win so it goes to Winslett for Titanic II. Support Actor: Death wins easy. Support Actress: Marisa Tomei to stick it to a wreck of a guy. Finally, give the rest to the Dead guy, Wall E, Pig for Palin, Japan for Hillary, and all the music to Slumdog to prevent a riot. That is all. You can go to bed early or wait for this host to put you to sleep. There won't be an X-man sequeal at the Oscars. Next year is a traditional, tried and true. How many flops can you have before you quit caring? Ouch!

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Aries

One of the family needs plenty of love and attention today, but the trouble is that you may not be able to spare the time. If so, you'll be consumed with guilt and self-reproach, and this may become so strong that it casts a blight over the day. So do what you can to let them know you're thinking about them, but resist the temptation to berate yourself over things you can't change.
