I'm 19 years old and I've been a fan of the original Star Trek series ever since I can remember, so the original Star Trek sets, design, crew, and actors are entrenched in me. I'm not a geeky nerd; I'm a pretty cool ordinary 19 year who happens to be a Trekie. I saw Cloverfield and it was freaking awesome. I can't even imagine what J.J. Abrams has in store for Star Trek. When I was little I was amazed with Star Trek but with the exponential advances in technology that we take for granted I can't look at the original Trek and be like "Oh wow that's so awesome" because it kind of isn't. J.J. Abrams is really boldly going where no man has gone before by revitalizing "Star Trek" unlike ever before. I was too big on TNG, VOY, DS9, and ENT although they had their moments but they where all kind of the same old thing over and over. This new Star Trek will be unique and original. I can't wait for this Christmas. God speed J.J. Abrams!
