I have a daughter who is 11 and is, despite her parents both being non-shopper and anti-materialistic, totally into the latest and greatest gadget(Macbook then IPAD then IPHONE then Kindle Fire). We have stopped at the IPAD but are getting constantly hammered by her by her "wish list".
The question I have is whether you have any suggestions to try and shift her mindset off of her wants and onto helping others? Any charity work, groups, church, camps, mentoring programs, etc. that could aid in giving her a change of perspective?
