He should have built an indoor range in his back yard at his house, i know that when i'm popping off a couple of caps that it does make me feel better, or better yet buy a silencer and then bust a couple of caps off into a pile of wood. He could afford to build the range or the license to buy a silencer. He's having problems with his family, like many people have had now or in their past, give the man a little respect and room to breath to fix these issues. Going to court to visit a bunch of dumbasses might not help the problem. Usually people go to court, the lawyers end up with enough money for an all-inclusive booze filled trip to Cancun for a week, the children go to a place like McLaren Hall in El Monte and get abused by staff, the parents end up losing their job(s) and/or house, and then the kids end up growwing up in a trailer park with 50 gangs orbitting them. This is a wonderfull peice of social engineering. - Not Sure

To whom it may concern:
I was involved in a Mclaren Hall abuse scandal when I was 8 years old. You appear to know something about what went on inside Mclaren Hall in El Monte. Do you know if there have ever been any class-action lawsuits against them, or the Catholic church outreach teams that served Mclaren Hall in El Monte? I became the first child to try and commit suicide in Mclaren Hall due to depersonalization by staff members. I would even mind paying someone who could give me legitimate, useful information concerning allegations made against Mclaren Hall-El Monte. Sincerely, Candy Smith

MacLaren Hall was a notorious Los Angeles County child protection institution for abused and neglected children. It was also used as an overflow facility for the county juvenile hall. In operation in one form or another from the 1960's until 2003, thousands of children lived in the halls of Mac Hall. I, Kirsten Anderberg, was a resident of Mac Hall as an 8 year old child, in 1969, and have yet to forget what I experienced there. Now a graduate student in history at the California State University in Southern CA, I have begun to collect information about Mac Hall's history and have also begun interviewing survivors of Mac Hall. Via my research, I am filling in many of the blanks that I, and others who lived in Mac Hall, have had about our own childhoods. Little has been written about Mac Hall, by either historians or survivors. My goal is to break the silence, giving a voice to the children, now adults, who went through Mac Hall without a voice decades prior. I also want to document what happened at Mac Hall to try to better child protection services for the future.

why is it so hard to find out information about McClaren hall? I had the misfortune of being put there while they found a foster home for me in 82 or 83. I'm still trying to piece together the time frame since it was so traumatic. Does anyoe have any information about the facility or where I might be able to look?

I was in McLauren Hall in the early 90's...What a nightmare I went through there...I can recall my months stuck in that terrible place and all the abuse I endured by both the staff members and very violent, and sexually deranged kids my age. The horrors, still to this day haunt me so bad at night. There needs to be research and interviews on this whole McLauren Hall nightmare and make it into a movie...People should see what us children, the victims, how much we suffered and how much our voices were never heard.

I was also a resident of MacLaren Hall in 1972. Do you know if one is able to get their records? I've oftened wondered how I was evaluated and how the staff perceived my life situation at that age. I was recently told that I've had a chronic low grade depression all my life since childhood and I'm looking to find more healing. Can you give information on how I can obtain my records? Thank you, Res72

I going to make this short but sweet.

I hate MACLAREN HALL! I could tell you something but if you sent time there, you already know what I am talking about.

If you want others to know the truth, I am a Contributor to Associated Content & willing to publish what you have to say. Just keep it to the facts. You can email me at mamahelper@yahoo.com In the subject put Mac Hall so I know it is not junk mail.

I think it would help us to heal if we let it out.

Thank you.

I was there in 1976 while awaiting foster care. I have been trying to find some closure after the events that occured there. Most of what I remember comes in flashes. I am being treated for PTSD for this and other abuses suffered before and after my stay at MacLaren.
I would also like to obtain my records from there and the court system. If anyone has advice, please email at starfiretx@gmail.com with MacL in the subject line. Thank you and God bless all who read this.
