You really start feeling old when people you watched on TV while growing up all start dying off.

I think Bea would have cracked a smile and at least got where I was going with it. Besides, hot can be a lot of things and she was without a doubt one of the more memorable persons from my growing up. I deadpan nearly every day in homage.

It saddened me to hear of Bea Arthur's death. You always hope icons such as her will live forever. Thank you for this wonderful article and thank God for Maude and The Golden Girls, who will live forever.
