Toby Stephens to star in new Robin Hood series

I wish Toby Stephens would get more feature rolls than those on the TV in England. He is a fantastic actor and can play just about anything and does it very well. Robin Hood is alright but Toby again plays the bad guy and he deserves bigger and better things than non lead roles.

I agree that such a top-notch and fascinating actor of many facets deserves to show his depth and range in more lead roles, but (as you know) he makes every character memorable and interesting, whether it is supporting or lead. I have to admit I enjoy him in the "baddie" roles; he doesn't deliver cookie-cutter or one- dimensional characterizations but somehow manages to add more nuance, excitement, and sizzle that makes them delightfully subversive.

What I am most excited to see is Richard Armitage and Toby Stephens together. They both have their own hit mini series on the BBC and are equally loved by women all over the world, but I personally have never been able to decide who i like more. i agree with Joan, i would like to see him in more roles than just the baddie, but i'll take anything at this point. Can't wait for the new season of Robin hood!

I strongly agree that Toby Stephens is a great actor and want to see him in more leading roles. I truly love him as Mr. Rochester.

i have followed all toby's career closer. I love his work, and i want that many people out England could know him too. He is one of a best actors in the last years.....

I had never knew of Toby Stephens until I saw him in Jane Eyre. I have to admit I fell in love with him instantly!!! I will be getting ahold of everything he is in. I'm excited to see how he does with other roles. Watching him as Rochester makes my skin have goosebumps and I noticed I stop breathing! In a good way of course!!

And when will it air in U.S.! I saw Toby on the London stage in The Country Wife; quite a treat. I did not know him until Jane Eyre and am now a great fan.

I think they should have a new Robin Hood with Toby Stephens as Robin Hood and Laura Fraser as Marion.Toby Stephens is so much better as a nice guy than a bad. What do you guys think?

I have seen him in a few things and thought "He would be good as James Bond" not knowing that he played Bond on Radio until I looked up his Bio on WIKI. His work history is much more extensive than I imagined. A son of THE Queen of British actresses. Why didn't I know that? He has had the best teacher at home.
