How sad that Miss Ross does NOT live her life like she spoke of in her lecture..integrity, responsibility, and working together as a team to make things happen. I was one of the VIP ticket holder's who paid $500 per ticket for this Houston Fundraiser. Miss Ross is the ONLY speaker who would not follow the normal pre-reception protocol of an introduction to her with photograph and an autographed book(which turned out not to be autographed at all)
I have beena loyal fan for over 35 years, have met her backstage, been invited to be on stage with her so many times i have lost count.
Tickets were purchased in Sept 2007 for the Feb, 2008 event. People traveled from Europe for this.
Simple logic has to recognize the manipulative move made on Miss Ross' part to refuse a pre-reception.
That way, would guarantee that she escapes and ignores these loyal VIP fans. As opposed to EVERY other past speaker who honored the venue's normal protocal with VIP ticket holders for this fund raising event including Dame Julie Andrews, Sir Sidney Poitier, and Queen Noor of Jordan.
Can you imagine how many VIP's worried about what they would wear or look like with a photo with Miss Ross for over 5 months, and yet to no avale
I have decided to try to remember the "good ole times" with her. However, i have not yet found a way to forgive her, and I do not care to listen to ANY of her music again
