The Empress aided in the bankruptcy of Vallejo by taking $4m out of the General Fund. Nice work Gomes! Can the tax dollars generated by the Empress even be measured, since its soooo small? This is not a dig on those who attend the theatre, it is soley a dig at City Council for make horrible financial decisions over and over and over. When will it stop?

It will not stop until the entire leaderless Council are all removed. Hot wheels and the rotund one are just the tip of the ice berg. I am surprised hot wheels teeth have not shattered when all she does is studder and make odd noises when she attempts to talk.

Since, you know, we're being critical and all...

Trashman, you appropriately name your self....you are a trash....et your facts straights, funds where not from general funds....you just want to trash just because.....you are the problem and offers nothing. Empress is the pride of Downtown... it is very hard to succeed with this kind negativity. It is proven time and again arts can renew a blighted community whether in the Bay Area or other parts of the country.
