This article reveals no information as to why this incident occurred in the first place...thus making it completely pointless!

Trespassing can mean a variety of things happened and, generally, if that is the only charge then the whole situation was rather minor. Sad that the media makes so much of this.

What's the story behind his name - a male with a first name ending in 'a.' No wonder he is fucked up!

This is no big deal, its not like he pulled a Britney or a Lindsey.

My God, this is news?!

So why was he asked to leave the store? Funny how the story is so sensational but leaves out the biggest detail. A misdemeanor for trespassing will go away faster than you can spell Shia's last name. Flame on, US Weekly wannabe, Josh Noel .

I've been in that Walgreens. Its not that nice?

So, what did this clown who's saddled with a sissy name do?
Why was he asked to leave the store? After all, Walgreen's is a semi-public place, and the public is "invited" to come to the store by Walgreen's own advertisements... Nice non-report of "news"... |

I just moved to Chicago and I am trying to decide whether I will let go of the NY Times for the Tribune but after reading your story I will stick to the Times at least for the time being.
Why did this man not want to leave the store? Was he drunk, convinced that Martians were going to abduct him or Did he just come across a staff person in the wrong day that decided to show the hollywood kid who's who? What did he do that merit the police actually taking him into custody? The lack of details in your article is insulting to your readers’ intelligence. Your constant insinuation that this guy somehow was “messed-up”¯ seems completely unsubstantiated. Tells us what happened and stop making innuendos. If you don’t know, then just say that. And if for any reason the newspaper feels compell not to share the reason with its audience, the least it can do is telling us why it feels compel to withhold the information. The story feels incomplete - very poor journalism |

WHO CARES. Was he driving NO did he kill someone NO. So why does anyone care. People and their addictions to stars WHO CARES it does not affect me

Who cares. Let's give California, and Texas back to Mexico and America will thrive again. That way, they could be considered illegal aliens, including bush.

This is news? I guess Britney hasn't left her house yet.

I've been in that store and it is, like all of Charley Walgreen's places, an emporium of mediocrity and questionable pricing.
So what did this strangely-named Hollyweird boytoy steal - or was he exposing himself ? Even to suggest the latter would be somewhat of a story, unlike this nonsense. WHAT DID HE DO ?? |

Here's the rest of the story that the Trib couldn't seem to get, but TMZ.com had no trouble reporting:
Shia LaBeouf was arrested in downtown Chicago early this morning outside a Walgreens, after repeatedly being told to leave the store. Chicago police tell TMZ he was arrested around 2:30 AM this morning after a security guard repeatedly told LaBeouf to leave because he appeared drunk, police said. When LaBeouf refused, the security guard detained him and called police. Police tell us that Shia was "very courteous and polite" with them and he posted bond before 7:00 AM today. He was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing and is scheduled to appear in court on November 28. LaBeouf's rep could not be reached for comment. |

I'm going to go ahead and agree with the majority here, this sounds like a story that starts out with, "my best mate heard from his sisters girlfriend that..." Seriously, you are not running a tabloid here, post a proper article.

Um....try looking it up, genius! |

Why is everyone bashing the Tribune?
AP broke this story at the same time, and it's being run in newspapers and news websites all across the country - Minneapolis Star Tribune, Boston Herald, BBC News, MSNBC, and other websites from all over the world. I betcha this story got more clicks than any other on the Trib front yesterday. Even those of you who claim to not care clicked on it. If you're really going to talk like your some high and mighty news consumer, don't read it in the first place. Would it really be that much better a story if they said what he did? He probably was just intoxicated (or acting like it) and hanging around the property after they asked him to leave. If you really didn't care about this story, you wouldn't care about why he was arrested. |

Apparently he said "Do you not know who I am?" ... the mantra of spoiled stars everywhere.
