Paul McCartney never claimed to play the "french horn" on Penny Lane. Actually the solo on Penny Lane was a piccolo trumpet. Something is happening and you don't know what it is, do you Mr. Jones?

What a pompous little man. He thinks he is better than Paul McCartney and Elton John??? He is not fit to shine their shoes.

Paul McCartney plays many instruments and writes songs - songs that will be remembered for 100s of years. Can Mr Jones do any of that? He comes off looking like a bitter twisted man. The Monkees should never ever be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I liked them when I was 10 - then I discovered the Beatles and found out what a real band was.

What a terrible interview when you end it with the most provocative question (Do you like these guys? referring to his band mates) and answer (No, not particularly) and then there is no follow up. And, how about following up on Jones inconsistency in claiming the Monkees are still together one minute when he compares them to the Stones and then saying there will be no more reunions later in the interview.
Gosh the Sun really has lousy writers!

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is actually a paradox. The spirit of rock & roll is antiestablishment. Halls of fame are as establishment as you can get.
