In mexico was well received, my family enjoyed , we bought the DVD and they have wacht it so many times thay may have to buy another.

Yet in the US thes film failed, a even won the hate of the critics (as this review shows).

I still wonder why.

On thing it that the US did not see the full movie. It was cuted down in ten minutes and half of the plot. So the plot has many holes.

So the US public did not saw the Love story of Arthur and Selenia, nor their wedding.

On important part of the plot is that Selenia need to be married before two days. Maltazard has been waiting this moment fore years, taht is why he tries to kidnape selenia. The fisr kiss of a princess has magic that can cure him.

So when he knows Selenia has married Arthur, he decided to kill her.

This is a more interesting story that the US edition.
But it seems that trying to make a kids safe version, the movie lost all it,s spirit.

Yet i fell there is something more. The CG part of the movie has some of the more phtorealistic enviroment i have seen in any recent movie, and while the bodies are a bit stiff, the have some of the more realistic face animation i have seen. Better than Finnal Fantasy,.

This is the biggest animation fench proyect so far. So big they had to hire 100 animators without experience, yet they did a good job.

So my aughter and i can wait to see the two sequels already in production. So I encourge to see the orginal film available in any interanationa edition, no the english language edition...
