Nothing wrong with following the first credo of writing, "write about what you know". That works for many endeavors. Joel and Ethan Coen do films about white folks in a white world, from a white perspective. Just a couple of white boys, making some movies.

I saw Burn After Reading last week, it is an amazing movie! Brad Pitt shows his versatility by playing a personal trainer. Ok, it has the Coen Brothers requisite grisly murders, but it's still a comedy.
