A reality check.
No one sets out to become a drug addict and wishes a ruined life upon themselves.
A little Christian compassion would have been a better approach. Something along the lines of:
"I choose not to do drugs because they cause great harm. I encourage all those fellow artists who are suffering in the grip of addiction to reach out and seek help."
