'Low-key' celebration of indie films seems to be growing despite itself

These movie makers are a lot like the performers in karaoke bars. They live in a fantasy world, like the successful actors and movie producers and directors. The only dfference is that their fantasies are not fed by the big money of Hollywood, where actors try to live out the fantasies and become left-wing, Marxist radicals who totally lose contact with reality. Poverty is all that keep the "Indies" (barely) in touch with reality.

Don't forget the nudity in those films. Most of them are awful in terms of plot and acting but you can almost be assured of some hot broad disrobing and giving a great shot of her boobs, buns or bush. Sometimes it's all three which I refer to as a "3B movie." So that helps account for their success.
