The first and last time I saw Tovah Felshuh was when she was playing the demanding role of Peter Pan at the North Shore Music Theater in Beverly. I brought my eighth grade drama class to see the production (I worked in Beverly) and I was very nervous about how they were going to behave.

Tovah's amazing feats on stage kept my class spellbound. Many of them lived in lower class neighborhoods and this experience of live theater with such an amazing performer was the highlight of their lives.

For days we talked about the production and I like to think that the world would never be the same for some of these children.

I am going to see the production of "Irena's Vow" on Saturday, June 20. I hope I will be able to talk to Tovah to tell her that she very possibly changed the lives of children who were living in poverty, some with alcoholic or drug addicted parents.

Thank you, Tovah.
