It is really hard for me to pick one Paul Newman movie as my favorite to be seen at a tribute for him. He was my favorite all time actor from early childhood. At first it was a girl young woman type crush on him that made him my favortie. Who could resist his good looks and oh my yes, those blue eyes of his! As I grew up and matured, I never faltered in his being my all time favorite over other actors. I actually realized his talent as an actor. I could watch his movies again and again and not get bored. I can't remember how many times I have watched Cool Hand Luke and Cat On A Hot Tin Roof. It no longer was a looks or crush kind of thing that kept me drawn to Paul Newman as an actor. I truly came to appreciate him for his talent as one. Then I learned more about Paul Newman the man. His heart and how much he gave to others in this world in charity. That is when I truly came to love Paul Newman for the wonderful man that he was. In this day of too much greed and it's all about me attitudes, Paul Newman was so far removed from that manner in being who he was. I want to thank the Stand Capital for this chance to feel a sense of being a part of paying tribute to a man who was a shining star not just for his career in films or on stage, but for the humanitarian way that he chose to live his life. He made sure his charity work will live on long after him. He made a difference while he was here, and the world will be a better place for him having once been here with us.
