Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoptions launches dog food brand

Full story: San Bernardino County Sun

Burt Ward is in the business of keeping dogs healthier for longer. The former actor - he played Robin in the 1960s TV series "Batman" - and co-creator of the large breed dog organization Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoptions has developed a high-end dog food line to which he says nearly doubles the lives of the animals he shelters.

We feed Gentle Giants to our dog and he loves it! Gentle Giants dog food is great for his sensitive stomach and our groomer noticed his fur became stronger and thicker once he started eating the dog food. Great food at a great price!!!

We were introduced to Gentle Giants dog food when we rescued our Great Dane. He's now five years old and 200+ pounds. He loves the food and our vet has told us that he is very impressed with the state of his health. We have had several dogs that required expensive boutique brand of food, but none that have been this healthy.

Thanks for the great product!

I have a 15 year old Corgi who I fed Pedigree for years. On day last summer I really started to worry about her and how much longer she had when she suddenly could not use her back legs due to failing hips. She could no longer walk up the stairs to come to bed with me without my help holding her back legs or simply just carrying her. This was around the time I noticed Gentle Giants dog food in Stater Brothers. It had so many good ingrediants I just had to get it and make my baby as healthy and happy for as long as I had with her. SURPRISE TO ME......Within ONE WEEK of feeding her Gentle Giants dog food, my fat little Corgi, "Jasmine" suddenly started walking, then running on her own up the stairs!!! I couldn't believe it. Then I discovered WHY...the food actually contains something called Glucosimine and Chondroitin which I always see advertised on tv as a supplement drink for people with arthritis and tendonitis. I had never heard of a dog food containing something to ease an elderly dog's pain and arthritc conditions before. No medicine needed. Just eat a dog food that is so much healthier than any I have seen on the shelves. Do what I did and check out the ingredients on the back. Wow. I even told my own doctor about the affect it had on her and he told me that her recovery makes perfect sense and that he has been adding Glucosomine & Chondroiton to his own dog's food in liquid form for years and how it is a very safe and effective arthritic/tendon treatment for not only humans but dogs too. Then again, I have always thought of my very best friend, Jasmine, as nothing less than "human"!!! P.S. Don't let the name fool you, it's for ALL sizes of dogs!

I have a Great Dane/St. Bernard mix gentle giant and she loves it! Burt and Tracy have dedicated their lives to these gentle giants and now they are helping all of us keep our dogs healthier and live longer. They have made the product not only health for our dogs but easy to purchase and affordable--what more could a dog owner ask for. Thank you Burt and Tracy!

We have been (2 years) feeding Gentle Giants pet food to our beautiful "rescue girl" and she is no longer the fussy eater she used to be. We have shared this food with family and friends and everyone who tries it has made the change over to Gentle Giants. I'm so glad, because that means they will have their furry friends healthier for a lot longer time, and what's more important than that.

Initially, we were ordering the pet food from the Gentle Giants on the internet, but now it's so easy, we can just go to the local Stater Bros.-- VERY convenient, thanks a bunch.

Keep up the wonderful work you do, I know it's not easy to care for all those beautiful furry friends.
