Mr Cernan said that he, Mr Armstrong and Apollo 13 commander James Lovell agreed that the administration's budget for human space exploration "presents no challenges, has no focus, and in fact is a blueprint for a mission to 'nowhere'".

That about sums up this entire o'bamanation administration.
That money is better spent buying votes.

FLorida stands to lose up to 27,000 more jobs with this shut down. Do you think FL's astronaut Senator Bill Nelson has done anything about this?!

Hell, no! The guy is all talk, no action. A robot, a poor senator for the state. 2012, Bill.

Obama's paying Russia to send our astronauts into space.

And Russia smartly raised the price on doing that.

Obama=Distrust

Remember Obama went to Europe and told them the USA was...in his OWN words.."arrogant, derisive, dismissive".

That's 'our' guy doing what he does best: dissing America.

Out with Obama in 2012 and give him less power by voting out every democrat in 2010.

PRESIDUNCE odumba HAS NO NATIONAL PRIDE OR RESPECT FOR OTHERS THAT HAVE GONE BEFORE HIM! TENS OF THOUSANDS OF AMERICANS WILL LOSE THEIR JOBS BOTH AT NASA & THE SMALL BUSINESS THAT SURROUNDS NASA FACILITIES ACROSS AMERICA!

odumba IS A LIAR AND IS ANTI-AMERICAN!

IN A HEARTBEAT odumba SENDS 30,000 ADDITIONAL TROOPS TO HIS AFGHAN WAR & AN ADDITIONAL $128,000,000,000 A YEAR TO PAY FOR IT! MUCH LESS THAN THE NASA YEARLY BUDGET FOR MANNED SPACE EXPLORATION!

EVEN THE $100,000,000,000 odumba SENT DAYS AFTER THE HAITI EARTHQUAKE IS 8 TIMES MORE THAN NASA SPENDS ON MANNED SPACE FLIGHTS!

BUT THIS WILL COST MANY JOBS & MUCH NEEDED TAX MONEY ACROSS THE COUNTRY - AND oudmba JUST KEEPS TO HIS GOLF SCHEDULE!!!

SENATOR "IDIOT" NELSON JUST TURNS HIS HEAD TO THIS HORRILBE INJUSTICE TO OUR SPACE PROGRAM!

More hypocrisy from the "conservatives". What happened to the "less government" thing?

Space exploration will only be successful when it is profitable for private companies. Stop wasting taxpayer money to sending monkeys into space. Just look at the billion upon billions wasted on the ISS.

So we are saying we must cut all budgets because we are in bad times. Yet we must not cut one red cent from military budgets?? When times are bad and money short, all parts of budget must be cut. Now obammy is a tax and spend liberal fool that is spending way to much and doing some unconstitutional things. But we must cut all budgets across the board if we are to regain a balanced budget and start climbing out of debt. Even the military must cut its budget, and nasa does not really provide us with a real defenses or miltary weapon.
If you don't count the many research spin offs, GPS, communications and weather satellites, NASA provides nothing to defense or military weaponry???!!!!

All used by the military.

Get a clue.

Pick your favorite spending cuts: GOP lets online voters choose proposals

By Michael O'Brien -
05/12/10

House Republicans will launch a project Wednesday in which they will offer bills to eliminate spending programs that Americans vote online to cut.

House GOP Whip Eric Cantor (Va.) will unveil the project, called "YouCut," which will combine Republicans' push for spending cuts with attempts toward online engagement.

http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/n...

People can vote online or through text message on a list of five proposals to reduce types of spending, on which House Republicans will then force a vote in the House the following week.

"People will have the power and the ability to make Congress consider votes that will save people money with the click of a button or a simple text message," said Brad Dayspring, a spokesman for Cantor.

The project, which Cantor will unveil in a Wednesday afternoon press conference, is being promoted by the GOP as a first-of-its-kind effort at engagement between lawmakers and constituents.

YES! YES! YES! CUT! CUT! CUT!

Yea, you didn't think.....

I've stated numerous times I'm all for across the board cuts in EVERY area, every department, every project, every, every, every, every. Including laying off at least half of all govt employees, and cutting the salary of the remaining half by 1/2. That includes Congress! Do we really need 538 representatives??

Will Congressional pay & benefits be one of the areas?? I seriously doubt it. But thanks for the info, I will definitiely as that same question of Cantor.

LOL, that's funny. All nobammy has done is second guess everything Bush did and then continue policies Bush started, quadruple the debt he criticized to get elected, extended Bush's patriot act that he criticized to get elected. Man, you're as funny as a cross-eyed surgeon with a case of the shakes.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Gemini

It's a red letter day for relationships under the Lunar Eclipse in your house of significant others, because you're facing some important and far-reaching changes to some of them. The pressure has been building since the Gemini Solar Eclipse on May 20. f you've known for some time that things aren't working out, you're about to reach a crisis point as becomes obvious that the present situation can't continue much longer. The coming New Moon in Gemini on June 19 will see progress of one kind or another, though this unusual eclipse cycle will have a far-reaching effect. You may have to be cruel to be kind, or more forceful than you would like, in order to get your point across, but do you really have any viable alternative?
