Q: What has happened to Keanu Reeves? Has he anything new in the works?

You're right - the star of The Matrix and Speed has stayed mainly under the radar since the 2008 sci-fi remake The Day the Earth Stood Still .

I am wondering how KR does it, the travel and work load?? my ex sweetie would travel international for just a few weeks every 3 months and would come back thinner, tummy issues and sleep patterns would be screwy. It might look fun, but that is a lot of stress. On top of it people are always taking his photos.. I would just cave in and cry.. lol *=o)

Oh, I love poetry.. and tried writting...it was just depressing lol!! My favorite poem is pasted below..

EQUIPMENT
Figure it out for yourself, my lad,
You've all that the greatest of men have had,
Two arms, two hands, two legs, two eyes
And a brain to use if you would be wise.
With this equipment they all began,
So start for the top and say, "I can."

Look them over, the wise and great
They take their food from a common plate,
And similar knives and forks they use,
With similar laces they tie their shoes.
The world considers them brave and smart,
But you've all they had when they made their start.

You can triumph and come to skill,
You can be great if you only will.
You're well equipped for what fight you choose,
You have legs and arms and a brain to use,
And the man who has risen great deeds to do
Began his life with no more than you.

You are the handicap you must face,
You are the one who must choose your place,
You must say where you want to go,
How much you will study the truth to know.
God has equipped you for life, but He
Lets you decide what you want to be.

Courage must come from the soul within,
The man must furnish the will to win.
So figure it out for yourself, my lad.
You were born with all that the great have had,
With your equipment they all began,
Get hold of yourself and say: "I can."

I know that happens... when my dad had refused to take me to ballet I refused to learn chess from him LOL... but I did allow him to teach me how fun it was to play hockey and to learn to drive a car on ice track as soon as my feet would reach the pedals. Most cars were rear-wheel drive (=fun to drive) at that time.

You humble me Free Breeze :)
Here is a wonderful poem I thought you might appreciate by Violette Verdy one of the most beautiful ballerinas I have ever seen. It really captures the essence of dance/dancer.
"....And Dance-whether onstage or backstage-is intensity wrought from within. And what greater gift can one offer, at once completely public yet also completely private."
Enjoy your day Free Breeze,:)
Particularly the last line... "at once completely public yet also completely private", wow, that's the essence of art & artists... Lack of privacy is always there.

It may apply also to friends (or lack of them). The presumably #1 ballerina Svetlana Shararova (Bolshoi Theatre) has said many times she does not have any friends, just colleagues. So-called "friends" are always more than eager to take advantage of any weakness she may have.

"Eat when you can, Sleep when you can, Use the bathroom when you can... and drink lots of Water (no alcohol)" = key for international business travel.

Photos...I guess there is no recipe for that. Photos are an essential part of the profession, but yes it must be VERY tiring to be "working 24/7". Some other professionals, such as lawyers, judges, diplomats etc have more rights than celebrities and political persons in this respect. I guess it is easy for other people to advise to "have a more relaxed attitude to photo taking". It's impossible to be "relaxed" when you are extremely tired and/or stressed out.

First reading...[blushing] I got carried away with the 'Equipment thing'[naughty me... slapping myself on the forehead]... ;))

Second reading... got the point!! HOW DID YOU KNOW that this is exactly what I will need when I start working on a big project in September. "Get hold of yourself and say 'I can' ". Wow. Thank you sooo much !!:))

Your poem choice is very wise and true! I am honored you would ask for some of my words. This is one that runs along the same line..

Believe

Believe in yourself
Though others falter
Believe in yourself
When all hope is gone
Believe in yourself
When darkness is upon you
Believe in your strength
And carry on
Believe in yourself
When life is dreary
Believe in yourself
Thou your soul be damned
Believe in yourself
When there is no one
Believe in yourself
And just think you can
Have Faith that things get better
Have Faith it works out fine
Have Faith that satan loses
Have Faith someday you shine
See past unto the future
When in peace you live your life
Have Faith to keep on going
Have Faith you win this fight

I guess there is ups and dows to any profession. Seeing the world would be a great gift though.

I was just singing this song from Cinderella in the garage...

http://www.youtube.com/watch...

I smiled from the inside, for the first time in a while and it was so good! lol!

Best wishes to your project, we agree it developes with ease, as you grab ahold of your equipment[ahh please forgive me..I couldn't resist..hehe]! Seriously, someone believed in you enough to have you do this project..perhaps let it grow from there?

Free Breeze and blissfully unaware...I agree. Am I wrong or was there once a time when a person had to have your permission to take your photo?..nowadays..I wonder how Keanu can see after all the bulbs going off. And traveling as much as he does, truely shows how gracious he is when he stops for a fan photo..which I'm sure he does ALOT!!

Elizabeth..I enjoyed your post about nature and art, how they are so closely related! Funny, A Unicorn followed me home one day.:)

http://i1128.photobucket.com/albums/m481/quee...

I hope it's okay to share & I hope you can see him. I remember while on vacation, we stopped at the Tiger's area..pretty big..my heart went out to him..so I sang to him. He was asleep..wwwaaayyy at the bottom and then came up to see us. White Bangle Tiger..so beautiful yet so captive.
