my bike had tiking sound oil level was fine could not find the problem on the way to Vegas from Phx the noise got louder and at 65mph the bike turned off no poping noise or anything of a sort. sounded like a bad batt. resulted in the same sound after anew batt. was installed, can anyone help me?

sounds just like my 99 1100 vstar i think it is the stator . i have been told that if the batt . runs low and you run the bike the stator or alternator can burn up . please if you hear or take your bike to the shop and find out anything different please contact me at russellterell@netzero.com
