Got a new motobravo 150cc scooter rode it from the the place i bought from brand new to my house about 33miles no problem. One i got home and got my helmet which i had forgot, and decided to take it out for more riding it would not start, let it seat for 10min started right up? This was Satruday. Sunday rode around the whole day and rode to my job about 20 miles to and for no problem. Monday rode the dam thing to work and on my way home in the evening it lost power like its lacking gas, sat on the side of the road for a few minutes and then it started right up and got home. Am a little scared to be stuck on the side of the road again. What would be the problem?? I only now have 124 miles on it. This scooter is good as it goes upto 65mph and i hit 100 miles per gallon. Help someone!! Do i need to change the fuel filter maybe??

Your scooter could be over heating, take it easy on it while it's new, the first 500 miles ( if your odometer is right) should go nice and easy. Not 65 thats pushing it. When you turn off your scoot it will get alittle warmer then start to cool off, like the first time you could not get it started. ideling will not cool your scoot off either, where do you live, see if it happens more a night then day, cool or hot out. I bet it's over heating. email me and I can show you what I did for my 150, I live in vegas and it's hot jrw_315@hotmail.com JR

Bought a new Motobravo, Leike or Peacemaker 150cc scooter ( it has remote start) last Dec. We winter in AZ till Mid-April and I ride it everywhere. All winter it ran great to the turn of 891 miles. The last day we were in town I took off to the store before we loaded it up rode about 100 yard, hit a bump and it quit running. Wouldn't start, couldn't get it to start, decided to wait till we got home. We tried everything...nothing worked. finally we disconnected the wire for the remote start and got ot to start and stop by using the 'kill swith'. Any body out there have a clue or solution? If so email me at ladyhawke8585l@yahoo.com (ps, don't have email in the woods, but check when I get to town. I will have internet access till Wed. morning before I go back to the Northwoods. we leave for AZ Nov 10th so no acess till about Thanksgiving so be patient. Thanks.

Hi! I also have a problem when my 150 Chinese scoot is hot. I have changed the gas lines, carb air filter, coil wire, CDI. Also, fuel filter, and vacuum check valve. I am down to eliminating the cheap vacuum hoses and "T" arrangement for the two vacuum lines. Installing a shutoff valve and running the gas straight to the carb. The filter is never full of gas so I expect the vacuum is not strong enough to pull through the vacuum valve? Anyone else have any ideas? Getting "hot" doesn't seem to be an answer for shutting down? Help!!!!

It IS possible to bump the ignition key while you're riding just enough to cause it to shut-down. This sort of thing happened to me 10 years ago while driving a 4-wheeler (Ply-Sundance). I was on the turnpike, happened 4-5 times, it was a work car. Finally figured it out on my own. Point is , I know the feeling. That could'nt be happening here :-) could it? You could check the emergency shut-off switch near the trottle grip. If it's bad ,or you accidently bump it without realizing it, you machine will shut-down then start again when you want it to.

Help someone!! Do i need to change the fuel filter maybe?? The 150 will most def do 65mph but the stock fuel filters are notoriously crappy. a $3 replacement from napa will do the trick. also the fuel lines (rubber tubing) are often poorly run and have a tendency to hang on the motor and melt or get caught on the rotating components of the engine replacing these with higher quality rubber zip tying them away from the motor is also a good idea. hope these suggestions help. chriscdye@gmail.com

Thanks. most likely damaged the isolator (black epoxy box) located next to the battery under the panal below the floor mat. check the connetions to it and the inline fuse. may or may not be the problem. can also be tested with a meter. also check the ground wire to the engine. whole system can be bypassed by removing the hot lead (+,red wire) from the battery and using the kick start make sure to connect the two red leads together of else you will lose use of the turn signals.

Help!!!! the most likely problem is the fuel/air mix is too lean. this will cause the engine to over heat. adjust carb settings.

Its the store screwing you over. That is what happened when my boyfriend got his new bike. He rode it a few times and it would not start up again. I suggest you research the store your buying from. I know we did and the guy and store turned out to be a lemon

Your in luck...theres nothing wromg with the scooter- lift the seat and undercarriage a few bolts and look for loose or hanging vacuum lines it sounds like one of the hoses going to the fuel pump is blocked and or losing vacuum. Happened to me. Died three or four times right after I bought it and thats all it was. Good luck!

I own Campus Scooters in Cape Girardeau, MO. this is a pretty common an basic problem with these scooters. Easy fix. first check vacuum line from intake and make sure it isn't kinked(or too long) I have cut off as much as 5-6" off of these vacuum lines from the factory. Second. Make sure the Fuel filter is setting vertical. Many times these filters and fuel lines will set horizontal of even worse. these bikes don't have a fuel pump that can force the gas through the filter. they are really gravity fed. If the filter is sideways it often sucks air and will bog down. Use a zip tie to strap fuel filter in the up and down position. Change the fuel filter. These bikes come with horrible filters. I use a small free flowing filter from John Deere.$2.99 works great. Give these three things a shot and I bet it will fix your problem. G Cool Soupy wrote: Hi! Made the unfortunate mistake of letting my son buy a Motobravo Napoli 50cc. It ran good for a couple of months and have had electrical problems ever since. Took it back to the dealer, Pro Motor Sports and they have proven incompetent and apathetic. Taken in 5 times and they have never fixed it correctly. They kept it for two weeks and when my son went to pick it up today it wouldn't run. Then they had the nerve to ask for $98 for the supposed three hours work! Unbelievable!!!! My son told them that we will take them to small claims court and the owner said to go ahead and see if she cares!!! WARNING to ALL..........DON't do business whith Pro Motor Sports in the City of Industry. They are HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!
