i have a 2011 taoyao cy50. when i give it gas it dies out. I can get it up to

That little black box is the CDI (ignition) just make sure you get the right wire. Get the wrong one and you will do more damage than good.
#1 - the CDI rpm limiter is there for a reason - to keep from over reving the engine
#2 - most scooters or ATV's with a CDI, the rpm limiter kicks in at the top of the engine power curve.
#3 - so unless you are going down a very long or steep hill removing the rpm limiter won't help top speed.

my yamaha jog r 50cc can reach 46mph if i change the cdi will it go faster

Read #2 in my post above yours. I know of two Vino 4T owners who purchased un-restricted CDI's. It did not help top end unless going down hill. The scooter engine only produces so much HP. Changing the CDI does not increase the HP, that requires modding. If you want to gain 2-4 mph top end, go with heavier rollers in your variator or go with Dr Pully Sliders. Keep in mind that going with heavier rollers will increase top but decrease acceleration. The Dr. Pulley Sliders will actually increase both. But only up to a point.
