jeremy Peoria, AZ	Reply » \| Report Abuse \| Judge it! \| #7 May 20, 2007 Judged: 1 I bought a non running 90 cc model s202(?) a few months ago that was VERY clean and have since got it running. Some chrome flaking on the rims and pitting on side panels and missing a rear blinker lens. The motor is tight everything works, i paid 600+ but may be interested in selling it.

Any recommendation on store I could check out before I purchase? I am looking for a store which is near to where I live (Lake Forster). Anyhow, do I need to have a motorcycle license to operate a scooter? I plan to get a 50cc / 150cc.

You can ride on a permit too, which is easy to get by just passing the test. I'd get at least a 150; after a yr. on a 150 I needed more cuz I love going up El Toro to the Canyons & 150's struggle a bit up the hills. Got my Kymco at Scooter Shop in Orange. Also check out Craigslist etc for used ones... lots of people like me want to upgrade or go motorcycle, etc. while the bikes are still fairly new. Good luck & stay safe -- consider MSF class too!

Hey where did you find out a 49cc scooter doesn't need to be registered? The DMV handbook has grey area and I want to get a 49cc Zip, but don't want to get pulled over for not having plates.

I have no experience but was still aghast at the rate of $1,300-1,400 a year I was quoted to insure a 1500cc scooter. Can anyone advise me on getting better rates, would it help for me to switch car insurance and get covered for both by the same company? This quote, by the way was for riding less than 6,000 miles a year and the bare minimum coverage. Help!
