Will it turn over but not start, or is it completely dead? After you replaced the battery and CDI, did it do anything at all different. Did you replace the CDI with an OEM CDI or aftermarket CDI.

yes it will turn over. I bought the CDI from a motorsports shop that sells these scooters along with 4 wheelers and other types of motorized vehicles so i would say it is OEM. when i bought it, it didnt have the battery or CDI in it so im not sure what it done before.

The new battery should not be the problem. Could be the wrong CDI. Could also be the plug or plug wire. Pull the spark plug and touch it to a motor housing or bolt and have someone try to start the scoot. If the plug sparks, then it is not the CDI or the battery. Could be a fuel problem.

I got it figured out! Wasnt getting enough compression. One of the valves was too tight causing it to stay open a little. I loosened up the valve and gave it a little play and it fired right up. I appreciate your help Robert. And if you hear of someone else with this problem, i hope you can help them with this info.

i have a mc-02-50b 2008 i will start it and it runs high rpms them slows down and stalls its not the fuel filter i checked it. and it lets a lot of gas out. its not a vaccume problem. i put carb cleaner in it(gum out) it helped a little. it willnt go fast it goes 20 and when i stop it stalls. i know the engin can go alot faster. i think it goes about 45 i could keep up with traffic in a 50mph zone. i think its in the carb but i dont know where to start. theres so many holes, pins, springs ext. i dont know witch one to mess with and witch ones i shouldnt touch. when its hot it runs a little better not a 100 percent top speed is 20mph hot. it should go alot faster. when i first start it it does 10mph. when it hot 20mph somestimes it does 25 then drops to 20mph (hot) it wont go any faster. befor i put the gum out in it did 15mph droped to 10mph then boged its self out and died. then it would take 10min to start it please email me at m_duvy@yahoo.com thank you. god bless you!

It's rated for 25-28 mph. If you are getting in that range, thats it. You can check the variator and if there is a washer between the variator halfs, remove it. Also heavier variator roller weights will increase top speed, but will decrease acceleration. This may get you up to 30 mph but thats about it. You can also spend another $500+ and put in a 75cc kit and performace pipe. This may get you up to 40 mph, but your gas mileage is going down down down. 50cc scooters are made for ecomony not speed. Always do your homework before buy a scooter.

Walmart, eBay, Best Buy, etc etc, sell them, plus many internet websites sell them. One that just gives basic information isn't real expensive. I borrowed one from a friend. A good quality Brand name stock 50cc scooter running 45 is not out of the question, however I still suspect the speedo is reading a tad fast - but not 50 mph, not stock. I have GPS'd my Classic 3 times and the speedo is right at +2%-3% error, which is very good for a scooter. As I stated in my post I had an 07 Roketa 50cc which indicated I was running at 42-43 mph on a flat, but a GPS showed a + error. Also earlier this year I was riding with a friend who has a 125cc Chinese scooter. Side by side wot, his speedo was reading 3 mph faster

than mine. A GPS is the only way to find out how accurate your speedo is.
I have a 2004 dayang 49cc and I used gps on my speed and it showed I was doing 40 and my speedo was exactly on 40 I tested it agoin at 20 25 and 30 and it all matched up I was impressed how accurate it really was
