Need help with my scooter!

Hi just go on ebay and type in scooter repair manuals or CD's and look for the one that fits your scooter or your type. I paid like 6 dollars for my CD's good luck!

I have a Lance Milan 150cc scooter that was stored for several months, and now I am having problems starting it. I replaced the battery, filled the gas tank, and got it to turn over. I was too aggressive with it, and with the jumper cables connected to it, tried to start it over and over. The starter cables running from the battery down inside the bike got very hot and I think it may have killed the starter as it just won't turn over any more.
Any ideas on how to fix it? Does it sound like I need a new starter and starter cables? If so, are they easy to replace?

You may have blown a fuse, or fried the CDI. You also may have destroyed the battery, especially if you used a 10 amp car/truck battery charger. Too much power for the small scooter batteries. If the scooter was stored for an extended time, the carb and or fuel system is probably gummed up.

I had a similar problem with my 50cc. Although there was vaccum to the petcock, the petcock itself wouldnt open enough to aow contiuos flow. To solve the problem, i drillled the hole out on the fuel side, and plugged what esed to to the vaccum in. Then you need to plug the manifol that supplies the vaccum to the petcock. Before getting involved with all that, try to run motor with fuel filler cap off. If the tank is not vented properly the cap will not allow fuel flow to the carb.

i have a new zhej 150cc scooter. i think the float is stuck in the carb. anyone know how to take care of that?? i have it partially taken apart in the garage but my specialty is cars. ive never touched any kind of bike before.

What kind of problem are you having? Won't start? Won't Idle? Slow acceleration? Low top speed? Won't stay running? Sure would help if you were more specific!

Gap your valves..004" intake and .005" exhaust. I had this problem and my valves had tightened up on me after only 150 miles.

i AM NOT SURE WHAT KIND OF SCOOTER I HAVE BUT I KNOW IT IS A CHINESE 50CC. I HAVE TRIED ADJUSTING THE VALVES, I CLEANED THE CARBURETOR, AND I STILL SEEM NOT TO BE GETTING GAS. ALL IT DOES IT TURN OVER. I GOT SPARK FROM THE SPARK PLUG. AND THERE IS GAS COMING FROM THE LINE TO THE CARB. BUT NO GUESS ON SPARK PLUG..WHAT COULD IT BE??

I have SSR pacifica 150cc its new 3 weeks enjoyrd riding it coZ its new but the problem after using it for a while and sit it for like 2 hrs or so then when i tried to start it man it doesnt start it stops me already several times and even left this scooter anywhere when it stop cu its hard to restart uts lijeno power or batterry. Thats why this nice bike but after all it sucks. Pls help anyone thanks

i need help i have ssr pacifica 150cc scooter its brand new and it sucks.it stops me several times now. It runs good but when i sit it for a while like two hrs and restart it dang its like no power at all.
Everthings fine like my batterry's full charge.pls help thanks

I have a 50cc shenke shanghai motorscooter, and it will only start with the kickstart and will only run for about a minute then die, and it will run for less than that, if at all, each time after the first. The electric start doesn't work at all and it will just make a clicking sound. Any suggestions?

It's Chinese junk, you got what you paid for. My suggestion - learn your lesson. Next time pay extra for a quality Scooter.

Oh, thanks "rosebud" that really helped solve my problem, I'll just go throw it away and "learn my lesson" as you put it. You mean a "quality" scooter by what? Because most scooters are built in or most of their parts come from China, just like everything else in America, so thanks, you've really helped.

we bought 50 of the same model. 10 of them blew up with in 100 miles. some the carbs filled with oil in a few days siting. only a few ran right..... you mite try replacing the gas lines with more ridged ones. battery or starter mybe shot..we lost 35:000 dollars.. i feel your pain

Yamaha, Honda, Kymco, to name 3 for starters. A quality 50cc scooter will run you about $2000 for the 2012 models. You buy a Chinese 50cc scooter off the internet for $800-$900. Do you really think you are going to get a quality scooter for less than half of what a brand name scooter sells for? Aint gonna happen. Seriously, junk it. You put parts in it, get it repaired or whatever, it's still going to be a cheap Chinese scooter and will just keep breaking down. They are a money pits!

I bough a JCL MP250A from an individual who bought it from a dealer in Dallas that went out of business. He did not have a MSO/MCO (Manufacturers Statement of Origin). Anyone have an idea of how I can obtain one. The bike was never registered and my state, Texas, won't allow me to register it without one.

Only one MSO/MCO is issued with each scooter sold in the U.S. I don't know of any way you can get a copy. I would say you are SOL. I know this does not help, but you should have done your homework before buying. You might be able to take the seller to court and get your money back. A scooter like any vehicle is worthless without a title.

my moped starts 4 about a minute thn cuts out can any1 help plzzzz
