Motofino 125 break light issue. I have about 2000 miles on My 125 and have a love hate relationship with it. For the fist 1,500 miles it was very dependable. As with any machine, it has started to demand a little more attention as it ages. No worries, I personally believe that bikes are a lifestyle commitment as much as a way to get around. If you have a bike, you either need to know how to fix one or have a mechanic that you trust because there is going to be regular maintenance. I have found a great mechanic in my area, but he has become stumped by one of the latest developments - my break lights seem to continually "on." any thoughts on why this might be havening? Thanks in advance for any help!

Remove the front fairing. Follow your rear brake line. There should be a small clip that makes contact with you press the break lever. Sometimes these clips come apart. If it is not under the front fairing, it will be to the rear somewhere near the brake.

My motofino 50cc isnt running full speed after i gave it a new spark plug. When i first changed plugs it wouldnt even spark. I put a new boot on and got it running but takes forever to warm up and doesnt run top speed anymore and is sluggish. Could the coil, etc be damaged from trying to start it and grounding it out to see if it had spark?

I am a pretty good shade tree mech. I have been fooling with motorcycles and engines since was a kid. I have five motorcycles. The one I ride every day is my moto fino 150 d. I call it my little mule. I have had some very minor problems with it,but nothing that a little mechanical know how can't fix. It has never left me stranded. parts are eazy to get off the web sites. Vince at eco- bikes is great. I hope he makes a speedy recovery. I meet him in November, while riding through Roberta GA. on one of my Harleys. They need occasional maint. too.

Just purchased a motofino and can'tget it to start. Shop picked it up and cleaned out carburator and they got it to start, but I can't. Can't kick start or electric start. Guys at shop said don't use throttle (it will flood) and do use throttle (it adds air to prevent flooding) while pressing starter button. I've tried both to no avail. Walking damned thing back to shop today so maybe I can be shown what's going on. So far not impressed with either scooter or shop.

Just be glad you bought it from a Dealer. Imagine what a mess you would have if you had bought it from an internet distributor/wholesaler.

TONY< YOUR HEADLIGHT PROBLEM IS PROBABLY THE PLASTIC CONNECTION WITHIN THE LIGHT HARNESS BEHIND THE HEADLIGHT.[i assemble /repair bikes/scooters/mopeds] either it has came undone or was never connected.always zip tie the harnesses as they will take a lot of jolts!!THE COMPANIES ALWAYS FORGET THE TIES LEAVING THE HARNESS TO SWAY AROUND UNDERNEATH,CAUSING TENSION THERFORE UNPLUGGING IT OR TEARING THE WIRES OUT OF THE CONNECTION ITSELF. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU BRO.

All of the Chinese made scooters are junk. Plain and simple, no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Buy a used Yamaha or Honda. I see them all the time for under $1000 with few miles and for post 2000 models. Anyone that buys a Chinese scooter is moron and from what I have read, they aren't all that cheap either. I thought they would be like $500 but some of ya'll are paying up to $1700 for them. NUTS!!!

The "out the door" price is $2700.oo EASILY can but a good used Honda, Kawasaki or another name brand for that or less. Most used MC's have few miles and all are well cared for.

Where is the battery on the scooter? My son can kick start the bike but I can`t. My husband just about went batty trying to find the battery to charge it. It only has 12 miles on it, bought brand new at a dealer.

OK - this question has been asked a hundred times on this forum, but we will go through it again. The battery is in the floor under the mat. There will be a small cover, usually held down by some kind of machine screw.

retroretread wrote: I recieved my scooter 30 days ago today, 550 miles, no problems, at all, well, the front disc is noisy, but that is no problem to cure. This is the start of my busy photgraphy season, the miles will add up fast. I think that this scooter is going to handle the job. Seems to be a continual problem since we bought her.. SUGGESTIONS. She is 4 months old with 148 miles stored inside/

4 months and only 148 miles? You are not riding very much. You need to ride a scooter to keep the battery charged up or keep a charger on the battery. Make sure the battery is 100% charged, and check the battery cables, tight, and no breaks. Check the spark plug. Make sure it is torqued down, and the plug wire is connected. Could be a problem with the gas/air delivery to the carb. Could also be a bad CDI (ignition), The wire for the start brake may not be making connection. Several possibilities

my rear brake handle cracked..... Sometimes brake works if positioned correctly... Brake light doesn't work....does for front brake..... Squeaky brakes.... Can I fairly easily fix this myself if I order the part? And now I have to kick start it.... Is this problem related?
thanks.... I'm a new owner' excited to learn alot!

I've never had a scooter, I did own a moped once. I have ridden Japanese motorcycles for years, all the bikes I have ridden have required maintenance. I currently ride a Yamaha that I put together with parts from 2 bikes. From what I've read here it sounds like a motofino is about like aything else I've owned. I am happy to read this though 'cuz I am thinking about getting a Motofino! If retroretread has gotten over 3000 miles on ANY 2 wheeled venicle with so little maintenance then I'm impressed. I have friends who wish they could say that about thier Harleys!

I had a Motofino 150cc. Went through 3 starters before I finally got one that worked. All the suposedly chrome nut, bolts, and trim rusted. Better quality than the run of the mill Chinese junk, but still Chinese junk.
