did you ever find an answer to the problem? I'm having the same problem with mine.

my friend owns a small bisness called phatboyz ground transportation in conneticut. he stocks every part that wears down and will fix ones that u dont buy from him. nice guy good work and friendly service if u want info on the shop like pone number email me at zacvibbert@gmail.com i dont want to give his number out over the internet where he can get those spam phone calls. hope this helps many people. by the way thr sunny 50 cc scooters are of good quallity you just have to 1 break it in right 2 change the oil after the first 100 miles then every 500 3 put the 90 octane or better gas other wise the motor and carb will develop problem witch the tatle tale sings are sluggish no starting ect... hope this helped have a nice day .

i have a sunny JL50QT-6A which is a 50cc, i wanted to know if it has some kind of alternator and if they do where it is placed

Disconnect battery and hook it back up. also check fuse. and also there is a full charge . Worked for me

Have 1400 miles on a 14 month old scooter and no major problems since assembly. Intermittently the gas gauge doesn't work and sometimes no horn! No idea why and has always come back. Did add water to battery even though instructions say to never add after initial fill but it didn't have enough power to crank.
I have a concern with a metallic squeak when starting out from a dead stop when accelerating that sounds related to the clutch mechanism? Any ideas on what this could be?
So far very happy and will pay for itself at 4000 miles saved on my Explorer!

Only 1400 miles and you have had gas gauge, horn, and battery problem? And now a squeak that sounds like it is related to the clutch. I sure wouldn't be too happy about that. I have a Kymco with over 4000 miles and have had 0 problems. I think your problems are just begining.

I have a new Znen Songbird 50cc scooter. It gets me to work fine in the morning. In the afternoon after about 15-20 minutes it stalls while driving
or dies at stoplight. I have difficulty getting it started again. It has less than 200 miles on it. Everything seems to check out fine. Any ideas on the problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Have a new yy50qt-6 scooter.From the begining it has a clatter sound from left engine cover [sounds like roller clatter].Belt sings as well.higher pitch with speed.sounds like variator is'nt torqued down to me.Any comments.Thanks

The easy way to fix the problem there in new hampshire or anywhere, find a bridge and just throw the scooter over the rail, with that goes your grief, and then spend 500.00 more on a better unit, or in fact a bicycle!!!!!

It is defective. I purchased my 50cc from there as well and have had nothing but problems. You need to call them and threaten a law suite before they will fix it. the first 6 months I owned my scooter I have replaced the battery twice and the carborator once.

i have a sunnyjl50qt-6a. one day, i put it on the kickstand, and i walked away, and when i looked back, it felt over, and ever since then it have this knocking sound every time i crank it. it runs good, but after i crank it, that sound comes after it is cranked.

I have a sunny scooter, 50 cc. Have had trouble starting this since i got it. Have changed plug, all hoses and battery. When i charge it, it starts fine; when i clean the plug it starts fine- but everything is temperary. Once it starts it runs fine, but turn it off and 15 min later it won't start, doesn't turnover and i run the battery down. It doesn't matter if i kick start or not. I have 220 miles on it. Does anyone have any other steps i can take? Thanks

I bought a 2011 Sunny JL50QT kingring scooter and upon driving it home noticed that the speedometer & gas guage are not working. Is there a simple fix for these problems?

The speedo gearing is in the front wheel hub, the gas level indicator is in the gas tank, so it is unlikely both would go out at the same time. This leaves it pretty much to the speedo itself is a no go. The only thing you can do is replace the speedo. That is not as easy as it sounds unless you have a local dealer that has the part. If you have to order it yourself, good luck.

I have a Sunny 50cc (MC-JL4B) Scooter....The Certificate of Origin states it had 1 mile on it prior to shipping. I purchased it from another party & by that time the odometer stated 3 miles. However since my purchase the speedometer & gas guage are not working. Checked the speedometer cable at the speedometer & it is all still 1 piece & intact. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be with the speedometer & gas guages?

Does your odometer work? The mph and odometer both work off gearing in the front wheel hub. As previously stated. The Speedo is probably a nogo.
