i just got a 50cc iscooter, its great i love it no problems, except the wind knoicking it over once,
but this thing dosnt go really that fast.. i mean its a 50 4 stroke and all but its like choked down.
i looked that the performance places online and i couldnt really find to much in the way of parts that will give it a tad more power, becides an exhaust or another motor...
i read somewhere that the transmission balls will do somthing.. and to re jet the carb but i couldnt find anything on this..
any have any thing i could do to do like 40.. unless im on a downhill it will never reach 40..
i maintain a speed of 25-30mph and if i get a head wind 20mph is the fastest i go...

Old post- new comment. 50cc good for campus life- not on public roads! Seen too many - not fast enuff to keep up w/ traffic ALMOST cause too many accidents! 125-150cc best around town scoot! Will hold 60 mph & not impede traffic! Still fun tho. On campus- all I would have!!

Naw, c'mon Cap'n. I live in a town, not a big town,(39,000) but a town non-the-less. 95% of the speed limits are 20-35 mph. I have had 3 - 50cc two-wheeled vehicles, never had a problem with traffic. Most of the time you can't even do 35 mph anyway due to the traffic, many stop signs, stop lights, yield signs, traffic, & stupid drivers. 50cc scooters are made for Urban riding. Efficient, easy to park, agile, etc etc. Great for running errands, garage sales, riding around the Marina, along the river, through the Park in the early summer mornings or evenings. I agree, anything over 40 mph speed limits, 50cc scoots are out of their element. But they have a definite place in the City. I see a helluva lot more 50cc scoots in town, than 125's or 150's.

If 50cc scooters were not great for City use, why are there so many sold? Why does one see so many of them in Towns and Cities? Go to any scooter forum and see how many members have 50cc scooters.

Review: 09 RoadRunner iScooter 50cc SBM:
http://evosales.com/pd-save-gas-scooter.cfm
I have driven it 140 miles over a month. Given its price, its expected for corners to be cut. You'll notice these corners the day you get it:

1) illegible manual written by a Chinese man that barely speaks any english

2) floor mat with broken off connectors

3) cheap plastic feel

4) The battery can't install properly because the factory improperly did the wiring connectors. It has to be forced in for installation.

Now lets start with my first problem. The first problem was my fault, being a flat rear tire within a day of getting it. I didn't properly inflate it. I called evo-sales and they said it

needed to be replaced, sending me a replacement tire free of charge (awesome!). However it didn't need to be replaced - when I found out it'll cost me $150 to replace the tire locally, I

decided to just try and re-inflate the tire with a $7 emergency air can meant for cars. Fixed in 5 seconds!

That said, the tires leak a *lot*. I have to re-inflate them every 40 miles, so I almost spend more money on air than on gas. The air tube on the front tire is obviously broken - if I

untwist the black cap, it'll loudly hiss air.

Now for a more serious problem. After 130 miles the electrical wiring attached to the left break failed. This will cause the engine starter to not work, and at best cause your break lights

to not function properly (dangerous!). Opening up the front cover, I immediately saw that the wiring plastic completely broke off. I called up evo-sales, and again they are sending me a new

one (not sure if on warranty or just free). Its really easy to replace, but I'm afraid it'll break again, or something else even more important ...

For some reason the bike has this very strange vibration that starts at 25mph and only gets worse as I go faster. Below 25mph and no vibration. Is this normal for a new engine? I have only

140 miles on it so far. I typically try to keep it at 20mph when I can to break it in properly.

The back frame trunk area is useless as two of the three secure points cannot be secured. I put screws in, but they just pass uselessly through. So the back just wobbles a *lot* whenever

anything of any weight is attached to it.

Given these problems, and other little things I haven't mentioned, I'm seriously starting to regret the purchase of this bike. Given the price I was expecting corners to be cut, but I think

I'd rather have spent $500 more on something of higher quality.

Typical Chinese Scooter - The Chinese are laughing all the way to the bank while the buyers are crying all the way to junk yard.

if its dieing out when its opened up all the way trun the idle up a bit at a time and give it full throttle intill it dont die out and most 50cc scooter should pull a hill at 20 25 mph if you want more power you can buy a 72cc big bone kit and a hp pipe also take out the gover and add a hp air intake and if u want more power change the stock cid to and cluch and roll waights and you will go 60 or 70 mhp
i know this because i dont all this to my 50cc scooter when i 1st got it my top speed was 50 mhp out of the box now my top speed is 65 to 75 mhp

If you increase the air intake, and/or go with a performance pipe, you will have to adjust the air/gas ratio or maybe re-jet your carb. Otherwise you will lean out the engine and could cause it to seize.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Cancer

If you want to make changes to your working environment or career prospects, do your best to get on with your colleagues today. It's a powerful Lunar Eclipse, so the Moon-ruled could encounter opposition as the knives come out. Perhaps someone objects to the way you're doing things, or maybe they're just plain jealous. Ensure that you're acting in everyone's best interests and not just your own, or you'll really land in hot water!
