Does anyone out there have any experience with a 50cc Roadrunner iScooter? I recently purchased one and have had a couple of problems. The headlight bulb burned out the first time I turned it on and now today the battery died and will not hold a charge. The company, evosales.com won't even return our email asking how to order a bulb.

Without good customer support most off brand scooters need a lot of work out of the box. Chinese scooters are shipped over seas in boxes and it takes months to arrive in the dealer. If you get one without good dealer support; wires, tubing, parts, all need adjustment and installation. Some parts fail and need replacement. You need to know small engines if you buy one from a place that offers no support. Also salt water can cause problems. Unless the seller offers you support then you are on your own and need to buy a new battery and new items that fail. Mostly those are from shipping over seas and are found by a dealer who sets a scooter up and test runs it before it is sold. Many people I know who have bought cheap with out dealer support share your problems. It is something the buyer has to be aware of. Never buy a Scooter without good dealer support. If you get stuck with one either learn small engine mechanics or find a good one near you.
The bulb and battery problem may be related? Could be some sort of crossed wires causing a short or the altenator is giving out too much a charge? But I am not big on electrical problems. A local lawn mower repair shop may have test equipment to let you know and also sell the correct bulb and battery.

my 150 roadrunner iscooter has been trouble free-
except the brake light stays on. they say to bleed the disc brakes , so maybe that'll fix it it .you can't beat the evo sales prices. hang in there and make some handy scooter buddies. my roadrunner 150 looks just like the baron 150r which costs $696 more.(the baron front fender has an extra something on it)no doubt they both came from the same chinese factory. i like the beefy harley style handlebars and the gauge setup is sharp too.

Two questions about 150cc I-Scooter.

2) My fiancé does not have a motorcycle license, is that needed for 150cc scooter.

Yes you need a Motorcycles license for registering a 150cc scooter in Florida. You also need to have insurance.

This happens on a lot of them the brake cable is pushing out of where it connects to the rear brake (left) lever. Push it in tight and it should fix it.

I bought 2 scooters very similar to your Roadrunner. It is a Chinese scooter with an engine type like that of most Chinese scooters. There are some great online parts stores with great customer service: go to www.partsforchinesescooters.com or www.partsforscooters.com . The headlight might just be a bad bulb and the battery might just be a bad battery. If not, someone should be able to help you when you call the numbers off of the web pages above. Hope this helps.

Have had an I-scooter, 50cc, road runner for 6 months and it ran great. kept the air filter clean, oil changed, battery charged, tires filled...but lost performance this weekend. I start fine, but once over 5miles/hr it feels like i have no vaccum pressure, which then intermitently kicks in. May be an oil leak some where- I had oil residue on the spark plug, but otherwise the plug looked great. Anyone have any ideas? Anyone know a good couple books for someone with industrial mechanical experience to learn scooters from?

I believe i probably have the same scooter as you and for me the answer to your question was Yes, after your break about 20-25 mph the scooter will run faster.

Those of you who've bought a Chinese scooter, I would greatly appreciated it if you could take a couple minutes to fill out the questions on my survey. I'm hoping to start a factual knowledge base that will weed out some of the 'opinion' stuff and allow new scooter buyers to make a good decision--to choose the dealer and scooter that works best to fit their needs. The link for the surveys is

Thanks a whole bunch!

I bought a 50cc iscooter and it has been trouble free, it seems to burn more gas in cold weather and if I ride it wide open for a period of time, I keep forgetting it isn't a motorcycle. Customer service is very helpful, I needed to call them when I recieved it for a few small things that they talked me through, but I am very happy with my scooter! Oh by the way upgrade the tires!!!
