Mine only goes 25-30mph what can I do to make it go faster? I read about getting rid of air hoses? Tightening the throtle cable? Or a guy who was going fast but using to much gas so changing air fuel mix? please help thanks dont mess with the carb or the air box , it needs the airbox to run correctly , unless you rejet the carb, try checking the condition of the variator and the secondary clutch, also see if the slider in the carb is wide open at full throttle if not , the diaphragm is bad and you need a new one!

Have a NST 250CC. Problem: Scooter would not start (felt battery was dead). Replaced battery, started for 2 days, then third day would not start without a a jump. Have replaced the battery 3 times. Dealer has tried to fix as well, says many NST scooters have had the same problem and they won't fix anymore. Any thoughts from anyone?

I own a 50cc NST (2007), beyond the modifications I have done to the bike, it ran great, did a good 45 on long flat roads, got close to 50 MPG but with a few tweaks I managed to pull 80 MPG at 65 MPH, these results are not typical as I have put alot of money and time into my poor little scoot, personally if you don't know what your doing or don't know someone who does, I would not get one of these they break alot and most shops are not licensed.

Most 50cc scooters use around 3.5-3.8 oz of gear oil. Syn 40W90 is a pretty common oil for scooters. The tranny will be on the same side as the kick starter, and to the rear of the kick starter. Scooter trannys are quite small. The fill hole bolt is usually marked and will be toward the rear and top of the tranny. The drain bolt will usually be on the bottom and front of the tranny.

mikey from vegas wrote: just bought a nst 50 cc scooter. does anyone have any expierence with this brand? heard anything good or bad? i cant find a review or opinion for the life of me... I have a 2006 NST 50cc scooter and I bought it new out of the crate. I have had problems with the battery it came with so I replaces it, and I have replaced the spark plug every year since I have owned it. I have a non functional gas guage that has been broken for 6 years. I now have trouble with excelleration and it acts like the scooter just shuts down leaving me sputtering on the road side until its redy to go again. I have had it in the shop three times and the problem is still not fixed. Still bogging down and cutting out along with the back firing. I still ride the scooter, I just have to avoid main roads because I never know when The power will die down.
