Kawasaki ZX-14 wins NZDRA 2009 Modified Bike Championship.
Hamilton's Alan Thoreesen on board his Kawasaki Zx-14 "Black Thunder" has taken out the Number 1 Position in the NZ Drag Racing Association Points series in Modified Bike

The NZDRA Drag Racing Season for 2009 was contended vigorously in the Drag Bike Classes of Modified bike and Competition Bike.

The NZDRA series covered events at Fram Autolite Dragway at Meremere, Taupo International Dragway, Masterton Motorplex Drag Strip, Ruapuna Drag Strip in Christchchurch and the Airport Drag Strip at Motueka ( Nelson).

All Racers chasing the prestigious No 1 Title and Trophy which is the result of points accumulated over the series, with points for wins, places, records broken and qualifying.
