Hope you are well and out in about. Hope you read about Mayor Rhodes failing to win the election. It will be a Runoff election on the 17th. Poor Barney will cry if little man Rhodes is not re-elected. I am trying to spin the story that the little old Gremlins no longer need Rhodes, as all of us big bad bikers no longer want anything to do with Murder Beach and that they no longer need little man Rhodes to save them. So now they can re-elect ex-Mayor Mark McBride and he will do something about local violent crime. It should be a close race but I still think little man Rhodes is out of there. It would be nice if he goes and the town gets rid of the helmet ordinance and creates a fair noise ordinance. Then I just might be willing to ride through town on my way down to Murrells inlet. None of the fun people post on this old dead link any more so it is good to hear or should I say see your post. http://www.wmbfnews.com/Global/story.asp...

I don't care either way about who is the next MB mayor, but it is useful to note: 52% of votes went against John Rhodes however 72% of votes went against Mark McBride, Rhodes' runoff opponent. I would have to take the odds that Rhodes will probably keep his position...

Friends and Fellow Republicans, This is a great time in Myrtle Beach as Mayor Rhodes has been a "work horse" Republican to bring the most revenue streams to our city. Mayor Rhodes understands orderly progress. Mayor Rhodes welcomes and respects all visitors and he wants residents to receive the same respect. Don't be fooled by Mark McBride's liberal Obama rhetoric as his background speaks volumes with tax troubles, business failures, questionable leadership and confrontational character. Mark McBride is a carpet bagger as his family lives in Conway which proves he has no loyalty to our Myrtle Beach. Mark McBride is a closet liberal. John Rhodes is a smart business man who knows how to succeed. He can lead our city to further prosperity. Mark McBride is a failure and will bring agony to our city. We need a true Republican to keep our city strong. Vote Republican! Vote John Rhodes! This message by Republicans For Rhodes.

McBribe has connections to the Obama crowd.
The newspaper says the group who are picking up people to take them to vote like the Obama crowd does has endorsed McBribe.
We don't need an Obama liberal for Mayor.

After all this time still nothing intelligent to say!!! We should all be thankful that your not in charge. Oh, wait, Maybe you are in charge and that's why crime is so high in MB... It has been proven many times that it ain't the bikers committing the crimes... It's the TRASH locals like yourself.. I read it everyday on TOPIX.. MB crime out of control.. Look beyond your nose cause it's happening right in front of you. Vote "Hitler" next election I hear he's making a come back or maybe even "David Duke". Think you had to much to drink. Its the other way around this add tax is like a Obama policy. Shove it down the people throat. Look up the word solcialism in fact i will do it for you. noun 1. a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole. 2. procedure or practice in accordance with this theory. 3.(in Marxist theory) the stage following capitalism in the transition of a society to communism, characterized by the imperfect implementation of collectivist principles. socialism An economic system in which the production and distribution of goods are controlled substantially by the government rather than by private enterprise, and in which cooperation rather than competition guides economic activity. There are many varieties of socialism. Some socialists tolerate capitalism, as long as the government maintains the dominant influence over the economy; others insist on an abolition of private enterprise. All communists are socialists, but not all socialists are communists. So you go figure Billy Joe Todd wrote: McBribe has connections to the Obama crowd. If the CAB denies Wonderworks a second time, it will only reinforce in the minds of critics — and occasionally ours — that Myrtle Beach has reverted into a nanny state. Should the CAB show wisdom and approve Wonderworks, it would serve as a symbol that Myrtle Beach isn’t completely bent on running tourists out of town. That’s the perception right now following controversial moves by Myrtle Beach City Council.

I can't believe this topic is still being discussed. At this point, it doesn't matter. Those who attend rallies know how the people of Myrtle Beach feel, and most have decided to no longer attend. Look at the numbers of this past spring's rally. Most of the vendors lost money, so they won't be going again as well. I've been there for 4 springs, and always had a great time, but won't ever attend again.

It's true, your statement.. I just like pointing out the FACT that MB has a big crime problem and has always had this problem. Guess what? It ain't the bikers, it's the locals. I have been to Sturgis, panama City beach, Daytona and MB.. I won't spend my money there for a Rally or a Family vacation. I used to visit at least 4 times a year. The people that ride with me and there's plenty won't bother attending a rally in MB and they won't be vacationing there anymore. So may say good ridden to me and the bikers and that's fine. Daytona did it and it cost them... Now they have signs that state, "WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE BACK" and "PLEASE RIDE QUIETLY".. Guess they understand where they money was coming from... North MB has more to do with the rallies then MB ever did. also murrel inlet (where both suck bang blow and both beaver bars as well as a bunch of other businesses) did pretty well durning spring rally. not all the locals are like that BJ guy.
